Default Suggest me an Android Phone

I am a dedicated nokia customer since 2002 and have been using symbian phones since 2006. I don’t change phones very often and am using Nokia C7 for almost 1.5 years. Although I still want to stick to nokia but the popularity of android phones is tempting me to change to Samsung or HTC.
I would like to take a modest start and later upgrade to better spec phone. Asof now I am thinking of getting used galaxy S or maybe HTC desire S for around Rs 20,000-25000/-. I need an autofocus camera with minimum 720p vid recording and preferably TV out. Any suggestions are welcome.

    I also have some questions:
    1. Can I transfer my contacts, notes and SMS / MMS from C7 to and android phone?
    2. Do HTC / Samsung have similar software / store as Nokia OVI suite?
    3. Do these brand offer firmware / software upgrades like nokia thus adding better features / performance upgrades?

I am really impressed here by the up to date information people have about latest phones which are even not fully released/known in west. But, I am not able to use internet on such small screens and gives headache, GPS devices are very slow. As, I only use it for calls I have a Nokia as well with a smallest laptop. I will invest in a good tablet in next few months as we have mobile internet devices now like PTCL EVO. Perhaps, will change my mind if some Android Gurus could come up with some good explanation about the benefits in terms of applications etc. A $10 weather station on ebay will do good justice than same in a mobile phone. I really hate when people compete even about the mobile phones. Thanks to Mushi a nation where 70% are living below poverty lines have the luxury of sending billions of dollars of reserve on these pathetic devices. I really miss my Nokia 3310.

I was in the local market today looking for different android phones and have finally decided to increase my budget and go for a used Samsung Galaxy S2.
There are different versions available like the imported ones and local sets with different model numbers. before I buy a used one please let me know what to check so that I dont get ripped off.

Could you please explain your recommendation. What do you mean by intl version? Are the local warrenty mobiles classified as intl version? I recall having seen a version GT-I9100, whats the real difference ?

There are two versions of Galaxy S2 available in market. 1 is i9100g and other is i9100.
i9100g is having a antenna on its top where as i9100 isn't having that antenna. i9100 is international version so look for that. International version isn't having that antenna. Shop keepers in hafeezcenter have ported the software of i9100 on the i9100g so it shows i9100 but it isn't. look for s2 which isn't having antenna on its top.

Antenna is on the top right corner. Its comes out by pulling. Check if their is antenna or not? You will get an idea after seeing.
Better is that search for a used galaxy s2 (international version) on pakgamers or olx and buy that phone.

Anyone bought the new Sony Xperia sola yet? It's a midrange-phone but now compares to last year's high-end phones. Here are its top features that leave me wanting to buy it instead of one of last year's top-performers at a similar price:

    - Exmor-R camera sensor used by the high-end Sony line-up (5 MP autofocus, LED Flash, continuous autofocus during 720p video)
    - Dual-core 1 GHz processor
    - Dedicated camera key
    - USB Host support that allows connecting USB flash drive directly to the phone through its micro-USB port (using a cable)
    - NFC with supplied tags
    - Price: 25k on homeshopping.pk

But am still torn between this and the Motorola Atrix 4G! I suspect the Atrix can't match the camera performance and display quality on sola.

After some effort I managed to get SGS2 intl version. I have managed to transfer contacts through blue tooth but I have not been able to make out as how to transfer SMS /MMS from my C7 to S2.

Besides I am not getting used to android and some how I fing OVI suite lot more user friendly than the samsung Kies. Am I missing something here.

Please tell me easiest way to transfer sms.
