    Default Daleem not HALEEM.

    Hum kahte hain
1- Haleem ko Aag pe charha dia.
    2- Haleem ko Ghota lagaya.
    3- Haleem Jal gya
    4- Haleem kharab ho gaya.
    5- Haleem thanda ho gaya
    Waghera waghera.
Jb k Haleem Allah pak ka sifati nam hy. Jis k maney hen BURDBAR. HM ne Allah k nam ko 1 dish ka nam de diya h. Jb k us dish ka sahi nam DALEEM hy. Jo k dalye se nkla h.

Also, above all, we all know that Haleem in one of the Asma-ul-Hasana of ALLAH SUBHAN-NAHU-TA'ALA. so it is very bad to say things that are been said for eating or cooking food like "cook haleem' Nauzubillah. (May ALLAH Pak forgive us for this un-intentional mistake)

so plz u call, make your correction and inform your friends also as this is Sadqa-e-Jariah.

JazakALLAH. FOR THE NAME OF '' ALLAH ''
send to all muslims . max as possible.

muslim honay kay ba'wajood ALLAH kay naam ko na pachana. May ALLAH Pak forgive us for this un-intentional mistake

plz plz plz send to all others . max as possible.

if any one have effort so plz print out to newspapers.

Is there not a difference between Al Haleem & Daleem ?
A lot of people have Allah's Name including my Self. When They die, Its being said Majeed died. So do you think it is behurmati too ?
    Just my two cents ?

They called it "khichrra" which was made using some remaining grains in the great incident of karbala. (that's what i know, please correct me if i am wrong"

but whatever it is, why comparing it with name of Allah (SWT). People call it haleem simply because they think haleem is a dish name and that's all.

the future of this thread is CLOSED due to religious discussion , what a pity we cannot even share something good and enlightening our faith over here because of the secular extremists .

according to every relegious school of thought , any name of Allah if is being given to a person , it shud have ABD-ul in the beginning to pay respect.

    ABd-ul- Majeed
= slave to Majeed / servent to Majeed. so this saves the disgrace that occurs due to lack of knowledge.

I want to know the reason of our SO INCREDIBLE LOVE to be overly enthusiastic on such issues.

I have seen people apply stickers to their cars that say Allah or one of the 99 names, now consider this - a bird poops on it... isnt that wrong, or you just use the same napaak cloth to clean the window that you just washed the cars sides with which had deposits of sewage water on it. Thats wrong too.

Or people use one of the names as a business name and proceeds to commit crime and fraud - or if someone has a name umm... lets say Ali, (Al Ali) is also Allah's name - if he dies - we come out and say please offer fateha for him, does that mean we are saying that the siffat of Allah is no longer living or the person holding such a name has died???

By this rationale we should not use any of the names of Allah, the prophet, the past prophets and the list goes on.

You should ponder on that - I have had a few weeks worth of "khat-o-kitabat" on this with some "registered" bodies located in the mid east.

    ponder on exactly what ?

this is what the scholars suggest as a part of TAQWA , not as a FATWA .

now u should know well the difference between a FATWA and a TAQWA.

if you dont let me explain by an incident ....

there was once a pious person , onec on his way to masjid , he got a bit of impurity on his clothes ,

he washed all his clothes on the nearby pond , and continued on his way ...

a person asked him , that it was such tiny dirt you got on your clothes , we have a FATWA that if the dirt is smaller than a dime , you can pray in those clothes , so why did you wash it on such a little dirt.

he answered , that was FATWA , this is my TAQWA.

so there is no FATWA on giving names on the name of prophets an Allah ( swt) , but just to ensure your emaan on the safest side of TAQWA, this action is recommended , with NO OBLIGATIONS.

    hope this answers.

    - your ABD part - if everyone who has a name of God should put ABD before it - would become pretty useless again, because then everyone woud be called Abdul - your name is your unique identity - no use if the whole population has the same name.

yes , indeed , but if they do , the person calling them Abdul is at fault ( if viewing in the light of sunnah) . not the person who has a name of , lets say , Abdul-raheem
he is supposed to be called Abdul raheem when addressed . but again , as i said , there is NO obligation in this area . its just a mater of taqwa and Fatwa , a person on TAQWA will strictly follow sunnah , and call the people by their BEST NAMES respectfully , and would get rewarded for following sunnah . while the person who doesnt , would not have any burden on him , as there is no such obligation to do so.

does anyone have a copy of any sort of lughat???? to confirm this issue that daleem is from dalya,, The true urdu/hindi name of this dish is khichra (aka moti khichri).

Do you know that its also called haleem in farsi and arabic too - daal the origin of the word dalya is not an arabic word. In arabic dalya becomes alaseeda.

Seems like some sort of molvi sahibaan were quite depressed with how to kill time.

Abdul is not the first name in all cases the Abdul+(Siffat of Allah) is the complete name may it be the first or last. For example Abdullah it is a very common name. The family name can follow as Abdullah Ali.

hmm - what about this situation

    Abdul Rehman
    Abdul Raheem
    Abdul Haleem
    Abdul Qudoos
    Abdul Majeed

When something becomes common in all names - it gets dropped, nothing out of the usual.

    or like me Zulfiqar Ali.

Zulfiqar = spine cleaver = literal meaning, but its also a Maasoom holy sword - gifted by Allah. so technically all the people who have cursed me are hell bound.

Ali - literal meaning supreme - but its also the name of a holy person - and also a siffat of Allah, in my case its the name of my generation. - so everyone who says bad about this name has surely sinned.

All names to be be read, written and spoken with Abdul
    Like
    Abdulhakeem
    Abdulkhaliq

Considering your name it should also need to be read, written complete as ذولفقار علي to get the complete meaning of it. You can add another علي to keep the family name. Do forgive me if the suggestion is not appreciated as your curse will make me hell bound.

Well - Well Well, There are things that should be done and that could be done. This leads to ban of all ayahs in news paper which goes into garbage or you eat Samosa & Pakora in them. Delete all the Islamic Items from your mobile because you take the same mobile into the washroom.
Not want to get into lot of religious discussion. As mentioned above, there is a difference between Fatwa & Taqwa but be reasonable and address the core issues..

P.S haleem is tasty. I had it last week !
