This is so so funny. Man, why would someone take 5 bundles of pampers to EU or Americas? They have to meet obligations in their own country of travel when clearing....there is no ?ucking reason to pay an export duty at ISB or LHE. Comeon guys do not confuse it with customs which is the tax on imported items and not for personal consumption in most cases...read fbr website. We have a guy BTCG who will dig nin for you to find custom duties on imported and exported pampers if requested politely i think...
I've been going out of the country and coming back numerous times, alone and with family, using islamabad airport...never encountered anything as such...

i own a travel agency and thats a norm these days. The best solution is to be confidant and learn some rules then they cant stop you, the immigration people are the worst as they stop people even with complete traveling documents and they dont let them go without being bribed.
I have carried extra baggage with PIA. I knew my baggage was more, but they were not greedy for money and they asked me if I want to re-organize my stuff so both suitcases become below limit. But I said no I cant do that, tachi paat jaye ga and offered them money, instead they said its okay you can go with it, we don't mind..And I had 5+kg over limit.maybe thats why they go into a khasara all the time lol
you mean BTCF :P.
and here is up to date customs tariff:

I brought an Xbox 360 from UAE at Allama Iqbal International Airport and I was kinda scared that they will impose duty on it, but luckily nothing happened!
My brother comes from Newyork after 6 or 7 months and for these type of people the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Passport is a enough thing, once my brother had ipads and some b.p tablets for mother in his bag he was stopped at islamabad airport but when he told him that he is US national and has good contacts with DG Customs so they just saluted him and took his luggage and came with him till car parking and that's it no bribe nothing.
Not if those passports have expired. In fact you should take your expired passport with new one everywhere for at least twk years after it has expured.
my cousins came after almost every 6 months from uk. the best thing is pay rs 500 to the troly man and he will get you in as well as out without any problem.if you have got some "maall" with you then it wil cost you 1500 rs.!
any 1 have links at the lahore airport?
are not you in lahore already ? i highly doubt that. since many of my friends / relatives come and bring iphone's and mac books. they never had any issue. You can have issue if you never visited AIRPORT in your whole life.
i travel frequently between beijing and lahore,,,,,,,,,,,,,,lahore airport is totally fine.....no tension at all
hmm...well iv travelled back n forth from Islamabad airport to US and UK twice a year sometimes...never had the problem :\ never got checked never frisked or asked any rude questions. Just once i was carrying some edibles going to Uk and they asked me to open the box and show it to them...which i did and they asked me to close and move on ahead to airline counter
other than that Simply luggage through scanner....my self through security scans and straight to airline counter for boarding...
try not coming back to it please then and take ur relatives out as well....

I've never been harassed on way to Pakistan, but coming back is different story.Customs will try very trick to get some money of you. They start by simply asking if you want us to open your bags , no means bit of cash and you can go.immigration is another choas.Theyll mostly stop people going to gulf countries and that too for stupid reasons. They don't normally mess around with people travelling to Europe or North America. Only trick is to be confident, if they want to open you bags and check them just say carry on believe me they'll only open one bag and give up after realising your are not willing to bribe them.i was traveling with family once and had about 6-7 cases.Same thing happened and they only opened two cases, didn't even check them properly and said you can go. Another thing when your are flying in,never listen to porters. They work as one big gang.Porter will come to you and ask you if you have any thing which you are not sure of then he an help you. If you say yes then you are not going away without paying money.Just say no I'm fine and walk out of green channel, if they ask you to scan your luggage then simply do it.There are more chances of you clearing it then getting stopped. Finally try not to carry anything which will give them excuse to ask for bribe.
Lol bro. Same thing happened to us when we were coming back from Lahore.
I live in norway, been living here my whole life. I travel to pakistan once-twice a year and even as a kid I have had some issues. Islamabad is defiantly the worst. I travel mostly alone and have been since I was 16. I remember this one incident where I brought my personal projector with me and they wanted to impose 18.000 rupee in tax while the damn thing was worth like 40K or something. After much back and fourth I had a card given to be my father for the Deputy Director for something something at the airport. I called him and then they let me go. In lahore I bribed the guys at the gates twice for letting me bring copied cds with me. In islamabad when flying back to norway twice the search everybodys bag for narcotics at the entrance. The guy just told me if I gave him 500 rupee they wouldent open my bags. I did it. Not because I had something to hide but because I couldent be bothered to open all my stuff.
