05/07/2013I found this amazing book on easy way to stop smoking and it is really effective and very easy.I had been a smoker for 10 years and now have gone 5 days without a cigg(hopefully would stay clean) and actually it hasnt been that hard.I insist all of the smokers here to once go though this book and it would change their mind about ciggarettes and their are very surprising facts which no one tells you.The primary thing is a Ciggarette is not what you think of it and most importantly Nicotine doesnot relieve you of stress does not help you concentrate , does not make your relaxing time more enjoyable its all a SCAM a big scam that has been going on but for this to understand fully you must go through the complete book.http://web-profile.com.ua/wp-content/uploads/allen-carrs-easy-way-to-stop-smoking.pdf
Update 1 (15/08/2013):46 Days have been completed and i have touched the 1000 cigarettes not smoked mark. Here are the observations:Day 1-3: Physical Withdrawal Symptoms peak including flu/cramps/aches (Depends on how long the habbit was continued for , for me these were moderate)Day 3-7: Cravings peak during this time with multiple cravings per day not lasting more then 5-7 minutes for each craving.Day 7-21: Cravings reduce each day but intensity of craving increases , as you approach day 21 the intensity of each crave peaks but a single crave may come after 3-4 days.Day 21-Day 45: Intensity of crave also decreases substantially and till approx 45th you wont feel a crave or any other withdrawal symptom.Day 45 onward: Now its only the matter of forgetting the habit and forgetting the social circle associated with it this might be the hardest as the life style is changing and i have heard this take around 3-6 months.
Update 2 (18/12/2013):Its Now almost 6 months since i quit. Cravings are completely gone , forgot the habbit and replaced it with other activities specially table tennis :). Drinking lots of water , feeling very healthy and enjoying the good things in life (Fresh Juices,Coffee and meals).I thank GOD very often that i have gotten rid of the nicotine monster and i urge everyone hooked on to the cancer sticks to actually look forward for the quit.
Update 3 (28/05/2014)Within 1 month of the first anniversary.Although have gained 3-5 kg's but feeling of well being has greatly increased. No more palpitations or out of breath easily. Physical Exertion is must more easier then it used to be.
Update 4 (05/03/2016)It is almost 3 years (3 months to go ) since i quit back in 2013. I have totally forgotten the habit and no longer remember that i used to be a smoker. I guess the habit is well and truly de registered from memory. Though have gained few kg's (just because food tastes so good ). No longer go out of breath while climbing stairs or brisk walking , feel very healthy and would strongly recommend everyone to start their quit journey as soon as possible.
Will keep posting
Happy Quitting
