camstasia no doubt has a fancy user interface , its good for basic level editing ,
but its licencing thing is quite strong and deactivates it before you can do something productive with it .
look , there are a lot of programs available that would only do the job you need right now , splitting the video ,
but most of these crash in the middle so its better not to go that way , just get Vegas or premier .
Vegas is more stable than premier , while premier has a more attractive UI . and features .
go for Vegas for now ,
1. add the video .
2. run around the time line , and press " S" to slice where you want .
3. now drag and drop your slices at a distance on the timeline so you can recognize them .
4. now you have to name each region that will go into rendering . for this , take the yellow color arrows just above timeline ,
drag it at the start of a region , and drag the other end at the end of a region ( slice ) .
( a yellow line will appear indicating you are exactly at the start or end )
now one arrow placed on the start , of a slice , one arrow placed on the end of the slice ... press R now , name your region . press enter
.
5. now continue and repeat this with all 10 regions .
6. save the project file now . so if it crashed in the middle of render you have your project file .
7 . now for 10 slices you cannot put it in normal render . you have to do batch render .
go to TOOLS>scripting>batch render
select third option , render regions .
now select your output format and render it .... you will receive 10 files in the end as you want it .
