yar not sure, but my dad is going to have his white cateric removed from Dr Tayyab, next week.
i heard he is best in Pakistan? Can any one endorse this?
Amanat Eye clinic and Shifa Eye Hospital are both the best in Town. Dr Wajid of Shifa sits in Blue area. You can google for both the hospital numbers.

my dad had an eye surgery last week from Shifa Eye Hospital. They took 20,000/- including every thing. He is satisfied with it...
jay sakoon nahi..te chaer k vekh (A Random Shehzore 2012)
there r many options available to choose from in lahore...
you can visit dr nadeem h butt he iz prof in jinnah hospital and sees in private at his residence on lower mall
also dr hammad in hameeed latif hospital. he has some good skills...
even you can visit services hospital .. there dr intizar butt iz a good doctor.. you can also visit him in ittefaq hospital in private sector..
about LASIK experience ... i m not yet a doctor . i m final year student... and i wear spectacles .. and all my brothers do.. my father iz an eye surgeon and wont let us operated and i agree with him because of the complication the surgery carry ... success rate for the LASIK iz good but iff the power of lens changes you will have to get operated again.. also a layer of cornea iz removed making it more vulnerable to infections.. esp now a days because of infections epidemic most doctors are not operating to prevent infections...
if the patient iz a female then the need for surgery iz purely cosmetic .. and even for males it iz so... the simple solution iz glasses cause if they break you can buy new one from the shop but you cant buy a new cornea... if you are sooo much conscious abt the looks contact lenses are another affordable and safe solution but even there extensive use make cornea prone to infections....
but at the end of day this is my opinion .. you should consult senior surgeons for all this.... and good luck for surgery
and one more thing... laser surgery is not only employed to treat refractive errors it is also used in many other departments like diabetic retinopathy etc... so if you need any help in that mention it specifically cause your first post iz making it confusing which typ of surgery you want
what u suggest about PRk or lasik aftr 2 or three years now @ Dr Faisal?
as I think PRk is much safer as new tissues develop naturally n no need to cut?
Well, I want LASIK too, but it is damn scary! Watch it on YouTube(Don't wanna put you off, watch at own risk)
As Brother Faisal(DR.Faisal) mentioned above, the have to cut a slit in the cornea, lift it up and perform the laser treatment, that is the tricky part, since they leave a tiny bit attached, and sometimes the whole flap comes off. Ask for Z-LASIK, they don't usually cut a flap, so that should be more safer!
Good luck and keep Us updated, I am really interested.
BTW: I wear contact lenses, L: -5.00 R:-5.25.
Sent from a personal computer using the will to not advertise a cellphone every time I post.
In December 2009, I had Laser eye treatment from Amanat Eye hospital Rawalpindi. Both eyes -5.0. The procedure adopted was PRK. Masha Allah no problem to date. Alhamd-o-Lillah Im too much satisfied.
Good to hear Ameer sahab tht MA u r fully satisfied by PRk. I m using glasses for last 10 years n my numbers are stable to - 2.25 both for past 5 years which makes me to think bout lasik but as per my research n cost effective Ness I'm looking forward for PRk as of much less risks involved n cheapeer. I'm still waiting to hav more experiences about PRk like u have.
Wht do u suggest is thr any long term complications involved in this procedure or any extra care will always be needed aftr surgery . do u still recommend it to others?
Kindly guide me as some plp are saying if this surgery is safe then y most of the surgeons wear optics.
