caltex havoline genuine vs fake

so i want to buy this for the honda city: caltex havoline fully synthetic

however, now that there are fake versions available in the market, i am hesitant in going for caltex oil and risking ruining the engine.

any comparisons that can tell you whether the caltex oil you are buying is fake or genuine?

the best way to be sure its not a fake is to go to a caltex supplier or depot and buy it from them, In Khi, mohmand oil trading in Lines area have it by the drum, they also change your cars engine oil for Rs 30 or something if you want, you can also choose to have them pour from the drum or from a 4 litre bottle pack. Pouring from the drum is best, its cheaper than the bottle, its the most latest stock and you can buy it in exact quantities you want with no left over.

They sell more oil in a day than a parts shop would sell in 2 months.And I used to buy 210 litre drums from them too.

As the fake oils are all packaged in used original bottles there is no way to distinguish other than taking it to a lab.

Siimilarly mobil and PSO also have a similar depot at the Truckstop when going to Hawkesbay,

orignal caltex havoline is red in color ! and fake is yellowish type (not clear)

most of the above comment is true as i have used caltex havoline in bike that is also red.
@xulfiqar: what about the bike market in ranchorline behind dilpasand.. there are also many shops of oil which sell packaged oil and drum at wholesale rates.. any idea about that area?

orignal caltex havoline is red in color ! and fake is yellowish type (not clear)

Havoline formula 10W30 and 5W30 are yellowish not red.
Havoline 20W50 are redish/purple

guys i think as Xulfiqar has pointed out, to be sure, we must know abt our city Distributor of Caltex Havoline also that in case of any problem we can consult from them.

so can Pw members plz give details abt their city distributors??

I asked the same question from the ZIC person in another thread but got no answer. Only storm has given the correct info and addressed of his brand but sadly he is getting difficulties in getting supplies from KSA.

Caltex schon circle on the way to 3 talwar is from where I buy my havoline, transmission oil, coolant etc.
The owner is an honest man and they keep original stuff.

but i did not get a good average the last time i filled up the tank.

i usually 315 km from 35 litres of saada petrol, but this caltex gave me hardly 270km in 35 litres (20 saada + 15 highoctane)...

mujhe laga milawat hai ???????
