Default What Difference Between 2 Engine Oils ?

I always use "Khula" engine oil that comes in drums with the names like Gulf or Golden etc. in my FX and has never any complaint.
I wonder what is the difference between this and Oil that comes in small packs of about 3/4 liters.
why the oil in small packs so costly compare to the one that is available from drums but works equally good in the engine.
    Any explanation plz. ?

just like when you have cancer, you still work and play alright until one day...you are gone...lol

engines are the same...feed them crap and dont take care of them the way you should and they die eventually.

so if so far ur fx is running...dont think it is alright inside...that khula oil is usually re=filtered/re-heated oil that was used before or is in a waste form (meaning it was not treated or mixed that way it should be).

Well, as far as i know it is not used oil or filtered or re-heated, but imported by reputed firms and sold by reputed shops in lahore. All sort of vehicles come here for oil change and customers are satisfied.

Mostly the lowest grade oil of a company is available in drums, the good ones are packaged............

    Agreed

The oil available under same brand r the same either in small pack or in drum. If the source providing loose oil is trusted then no harms.
But should avoid this coz some time on oil shops the workers try to cheat people in absence of shop owner so once degraded oil added in ur car/bikes engine it just needs hundred or less kilometer to destroy ur vehicle engine.

there is no way in hell that the quality and reliability of open drum oil can match with that of a properly made oil by shell or Caltex etc. unless someone has proof...there is no need for this thread to go on.

at the end of the day...its ur own decision...feed ur car garbage just to save a few rupees.

most of open oil is recycled. Pathans collect this oil all the day from workshops/petrol pumps and it is then cleaned and sent back to market. If you really want to save money, use good sealed oil. It will save the money you will spend on engine overhaul in near future.

BTW in my openion Sharlu is good oil in economic price. Also, will suit your FX.

I used ZIC in my Mehran and using the same in Santro now
