The rotten egg smell that comes out from exhaust (hydrogen sulfide)... gotten worst in winter (no idea if coincidence). The car in question is Axio 2007 and it is happening upon cold start. There are no ERROR codes coming up in scan.
The information available on internet talks different. Some say it means the cat converter has gone bad, others say it means the converter is working properly while some others say this means the cat is about to fail. Yet others say it is the high sulfur content in fuel*. So... experts' opinions required and what are the methods for checking cat converter's health? Temperature I can take via infrared temperature gun. Although I have to admit, I am having a hard time figuring out where the CAT converter is under Axio.... :-#

*I fill from PSO, I understand bad quality fuel will make the engine knock but if sulfur content in the fuel is high then it will be the same across all PSO pumps if they are getting supply from PSO officially. Tried fuel from several PSO outlets but the smell remains.
