To keep a modern HPCR engine running good - it needs its airways cleaned out thoroughly at regular intervals. WHY - because it is always a turbocharged engine with an EGR system running, if the EGR is placed before the intercooler (it will choke with soot and PCV oily blow) - and if used mostly in the insane city driving on Pakistan it will choke for sure, resulting in all sorts of power loss.
The other bit is not to quench any part of your engine with water, meaning if you want to clean it - get a can of degreaser, a bucket of water, some old clothes (wearing new may result in your spouse kicking you out of the bedroom or worse - out of the house)
and yes - do not forget the bottle of Ajax you need to use while in the shower.
The reason why I wrote about the quenching is to save the electrical components. Now to the design, If you have an intercooler (aftercooler - if you drink diesel chai and eat diesel fried samosay) sitting on the valve cover which has its very expensive injectors tightened on them, please redesign it with a front cooler or keep the underhood temperatures under safe levels.
Buy a case of very good branded fuel filters, and NO your best shop in Pakistan selling jenyan toiyta parts will not have them, buy them from filter supply shops - MANN & Hummel are a good choice. Keep an eye on the sediment filter and empty every 4 weeks no matter what.
The most important bit is to buy diesel from a place that sells at least a truckload of diesel fuel each day - that way you will get fresh fuel. Also keep a supply of purge treatment handy for the general cleanliness - AND lastly visit a proper workshop on a defined time bases - a place that can run a test sequence on the Diesel control system - that way you will be able to see if anything is going out or gone and you would also develop a knowledge base for it too.
