    Default Toyota Passo (parts) !

I have been looking around to buy a small car...

Have the Vitz and Passo in mind...

Dealer tells me that both have their parts available ... I am not too sure about the Passo though... Vitz have been here for quite some time so I believe parts are not an issue PLEASE CONFIRM VITZ DRIVERS!

    Also what about the Passo?
Dealer gave me a price of 550,000 lac for a 2005, around 25,000 KM...

I would think the Honda Fit would be a better car... but have not seen many here !

    Thanks

toyota passo is a very very good car we had both passo and vitz 2003 in 2006,passo has got better pick then vitz but luxury and comfort-wise vitz is better passo gives better fuel economy, the only issue with passo is less resale and no parts availability that is why we sold it for 730000 we imported it for 740000.the price in which you r getting seems o.k. keeping in mind that it has less resale than vitz.choice is yours but i'll recommend you to go for passo its a great car and the good thing is that it is not very common.

What did you do for parts on the Passo you owned?

Things like, spark plugs, air/oil filter, etc.?

Do the Vitz parts work with the Passo?

we never changed its air filter nor oil filter cos when we bought it,it was original 4000 kms done we sold it when it was 5500-6000kms driven cos we didnt registered it as far as oilfilter, spark plugs are concerned they will be easy available m not very sure about air filter but i think its not an issue air filter of some other car would probably fit in it and you can also go for aftermarket air intake if original not available.

welcome to the nightmare world of "grey imports" while you may find some mechanical parts the most horrendous nightmare starts when your car is missing some model only clips/moudlings, body panels, glass etc etc.

These grey imports may look very sassy and attractive with low prices, but please consider that parts are not only limited to filters etc. what would happen if you smashed the car and rebuild the front, try finding new parts/clips etc.

Passo's front break pads are exact match for Nissan Sunny B13... and are easily available in the market... just ask for Nissan Sunny's break pads and they will be easily fitted into your passo...

As far as I know, Passo was built on the Vitz platform. Most parts should be interchangeable for both models...
