Mitsibishi Lancer 1996 vs Honda Civic 1996

never drove a lancer 96 but cuurently have civic 96 for last few months and its an awesome ride if u can find a clean one...gives very good fuel economy and drive is very gud...interior is comfortable..

Just bought a 97 Lancer. Price I paid was enough to get a 95 or 96 Civic but I personally prefer Lancer. I know a lot of people will argue favorably for a Civic and they are absolutely right about resale, parts and mechanics. AND of course, Civic parts are much easier to come by than Lancer.

Both are great cars. Had a 93 Lancer and 95 civic. The lancer was japanese (obviously) while the civic Pakistan assembled. The material quality in the lancer was much better than the corollas and civics of the time (even JDM models).

The civic has a much better engine (the 1.5).

Have Owned 98 lancer, Lancer is a comfortable drive, Parts are Strong, Don't need to go to Mechanic on regular basis. but at the same time the Parts are expensive and no resale.


Have driven 99 Civic.
The car is good, have good resale. parts are cheaper that Lancer. the drive comfort is lesser than lancer. but have good resale. Petrol average is better than lancer.


So in my opinion go for Civic

unique not everyone has it.. unique thing gets more praise usually
tail lights. i just love lancers tail lights
more stable drive
