so what exactly is this cost if not interest? There is no such thing as interest free loan from a bank.
The only thing they do is package it with islamic sounding arabic names and apply an islami tarka to it but it remains an interest they will charge you on your loan (they call it rent instead of interest but that's it). As other members suggested it is both Islamic as well as a good financial practice to remain within ones means and thank Allah for what one has. Living beyond one's means is not a good idea even though it might look attractive.
Allah's messenger has told us to " leave what makes you in doubt to what does not make you in doubt". There is certainly doubt in this leasing scheme. If indeed it is an interest, we'll have to answer it on day of judgement and no temporary joy from a car can be worth having to do that. So brotherly advice...do not lease and live within your means. Pray Allah gives you more in this world and hereafter.
If you must buy due to any majboori, try asking real interest free loan from your parents, siblings, in-law, etc.
