on the 110 of march i planned a day trip to Soan valley. i have been there once b4 also but had missed some attractions which included
the Nursing Pohar area and the exploration of Khadomi Lake. the total journey was about 650 kms and the route was
lslamabad-Chakri-Kalar Kahar- sodhi-nursing pohar-sodhi-jaba-Khabeki- Naushera-uchali-sakesar-namal-talagang-balkesar-islamabad.
wel our first stop was Nursing Pohar and it was an amazing place. it can be reached by turning towards Sodhi just b4 Jaba while coming from
kalar kahar. a place called Chamail more comes and from there a small kacha track leads to the entrance of nursing pohar. from this point a short trek
of abt 20 mins leads to Nursing Pohar where u can find springs and ruins and old trees and a lot of piece and quite.
the next stop was Khadomi lake which can be reached directly from Nursing pohar via a long trek or from nearby coal mine stations. the lake
has lost its beauti coz the water level has receded as the major source of the lake has dried up. so going to khadomi lake is not fruitful anymore.
never the less the fresh water Khabeki lake and Salt water Uchali lakes are in ful blow and ful of water and birds. so its worth a visit there. also the
road condition has improved alot and the trip can be made in a day if one starts early.
