So we planned to leave by the fourth day of Eid ul Adha that was 28th September. When we went to buy train tickets on 19th September, we found out that all the economy seats were booked till 4th October but somehow through quota system we managed to get the tickets for Rs. 1510 for Pakistan Express (Normal economy fare from Karachi to Rawalpindi was Rs. 1320).
Our train departed at the exact time that was 1 PM, we were lucky to reach the station just 5 minutes before the train departed otherwise we would have ended in trouble. We reached Rawalpindi the next day, 29th September, at 4:30 PM. Did some shopping from the Saddar Bazar and it was getting dark but we had made our mind that not to stay in Rawalpindi and waste our time and money there so we went to catch the ride for Muzaffarabad.
I had heard that from Rawalpindi, busses leave for Muzaffarabad from the both, Faizabad and Pirwadhai bus stands. Upon asking some people advised us to go to Faizabad bus stand and some suggested for Pirwadhai. Considering those I made my mind for Pirwadhai as it was a bigger bus stand. Got a taxi for Rs. 250 for Pirwadhai bus stand from the Saddar Bazar. On route when the driver inquired us and found out that we were new to those areas, he kept insisting that we should hire a car that would give ease and he will arrange a luxury car for us in cheap rate but we did not agree and he took us to a car driver who asked Rs. 6000 and we said no, asked him to take us straight to Pirwadhai, then again he took us to another bus stand and there were no busses for Muzaffarabad. At last he took us to Pirwadhai bus stand and it had been too late, I was angry at the driver that he wasted our time and now icing on the cake that he was asking for Rs. 500 for taking us to various places that we did not ask for while earlier he agreed on Rs. 250. After a short debate when we paid him Rs. 300, he threw that money on the road but then later picked and left.
