Leepa Valley- June 2012

Assalam o Alaikum Allz

In June 2012, We (2 members) made a short trip to Heavenly Beautiful Leepa Valley, situated in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. Thanks to pakwheels that gave us crucial information about NOC must to be obtained from DC Hattian Bala in order to visit/ enter this valley.

NOC obtaining process is not difficult & does not involve too much formalities or documentation. What you have to do is to get an application written from Munshis there (charges Rs.30/- only), paste two revenue stamps (Rs.2/- only), attach CNIC copies of all the members, & present this application to DC- who then will issue NOC after looking at original CNICs & having a small question answer session consisting of reason of visit- no of days, etc.

We departed on 19th June at 11pm from Pirwadhai. Our ride was non stop hiace (public transport) that operates daily between Rawalpindi- Reshian (Leepa). It charged Rs.400/- per head. As we had to get NOC- so we droped at Hattian Bala at around 5.30am. Took our breakfast there, got refreshed, & comfortably explored the area as DC office opens at 9am (DC comes at 10 or 11am ). Made a couple of pics there.

Sir loved ur pics of Reshian & Lamnian. After reaching valley- felt really sad that u could not make it there otherwise u would have captured & shared its true beauty (that obviously i can't bcz of being Tifl-e-maktab).

After exploring the area- went to DC office at around 9am, went through all the formalities, & got our NOC at 11am. Picked our luggage from hotel (where we took our breakfast), & took Hattian Bala- Reshian transport (mini bus). It took a little above 02 hrs to reach Reshian & Rs.100/- per head (if i remember correctly).

After getting the bus, we decided not to sit in the bus. Rather we made the whole journey till Reshian on roof of the bus in order to enjoy sorrounding & views & our this decission proved right. Had marvelous views on the way especially near Reshian. Only one precaution- sunblock is a must (If u have sensitive skin- avoid half sleeve in this part in order to avoid sunburn).

Please mention why NOC is required to go there.? Wheather that area is out of Pakistan or some reason else..?
