--- TRAVELOGUE COMPLETED ---
Last month, we 4 + 1(partially) people of KTG (Karachi Travellers Group) completed a wonderful 6 day road trip across Sindh & South Punjab. This trip idea was first ignited by @versitian (Mansoor) couple of months back after he bought a brand new Suzuki Wagon-R. I immediately approved this because my soul is every ready for adventures. Another KTG member @mdani agreed to join. And in the last, @versitian's friend, Adeel aka Mani (NPW) was the 4th one to join. The 5th personality who joined us on the trip was none other than Adeel aka Sheikh aka @aks_e_ahmed, he joined us from Bahawalpur while he was returning from Swat Trip (URL to his thread).
Prime objective of the trip was to enjoy village life in winters and also a road trip because sometimes journey is more beautiful than the destination
Here is the short summary of the trip:
24th December: 3 people (Me, Mansoor & Mani) started from Karachi to Hyderabad at 8:30 PM. 4th one (Danish) joined here. After sumptuous dinner at Hala Naka we stayed in Hyderabad at a hotel.
25th December: Started early from Hyderabad and took Mehran Highway. Visited Kot Diji Fort, Old Haveli of Mir of Khairpur, Mehrano Wildlife Refuge (Thanks to our KTG member Sajid Ali Akbar from Sukkur who was not in city but asked his friend Haji Ain Ullah sahab who was with us in above visits and also thanks to Danish's friend who got us entry into Mehrano Wildlife Refuge). Then reached Sukkur in evening to visit Sadhu Bela (A Hindu temple in middle of River Indus). Short visit to Rohri Railway Station for fun. Stay at Rohri (Thanks to Imtiaz sb for arranging our trip to Sadhu Bela as its normally not allowed and also for our stay and lavish dinner in Rohri. He is a relative of Danish's friend).
26th December: Early morning visit to Satian Jo Astano (7 sisters tomb) in Rohri, then entered Punjab and took Alipur road from Tarinda.. Visited Head Panjanad and then visited tombs of Jalal ud din Surakh Posh and Bibi Jiwandi in Uch Sharif. Finally reached Samma Satta (a village/small city) near Bahawalpur. Stayed there at my cousin's house.. In the night, had a visit to Bahawalpur where Adeel @aks_e_ahmed) joined us after returning from Swat. Finally reached back to Samma Satta and slept.
27th December: Enjoyed village life, Had desi breakfast and then visited Loco Shed (Samma Satta) and then visited Khanqah Sharif (Khawaja Mohkum-ud-din Serani) mazar. And then reached Bahawalpur city, where first we visited Noor Mehal then we had lunch at my another cousin's house. Proceeded to Lal Suhanra National Park.. spend a good few hours there and returned to Bahawalpur.. Had a sumptous Pizza Party at Zanzibar Bahawalpur city.. My friend and a fellow PW member @MSSR (Salman bhai) also joined us. His visit was a story itself which I will unfold later in thread. Returned back to Samma Satta, had some fun at Railway Crossing and then slept.
28th December: Had breakfast and left Samma Satta. Reached Ahmedpur by noon and turned towards Derawar Fort, Cholistan. Visited it for good few hours and then on return also stopped at mustard fields. By evening reached Sadiqabad.. stayed there in a hotel.
29th December: Sadiqabad to Nawabshah (via Mehran Highway).. had lunch there.. Thanks to Mukhtiar Bhai (Danish's friend) and then proceeded to Hyderabad. Danish left there and then we all reached Karachi by 9 PM.
In this trip we explored many places.. although they are off the beaten path places (not very famous) but we enjoyed a lot due to excellent company.. in fact this quote fits really well in our trip... "A journey is best measured in friends rather than miles".. Also many thanks for all our friends and relatives whom we met during journey.. they made our journey more beautiful (and cheaper too.. shhh )
