I've been travelling to Lucknow for quite a bit lately, but never had the time to take photos, let alone post them. This time however, I decided to use my mobile phone camera to capture whatever I could. Since I worked most of the time and didn't have the time to click away, the photos I did manage to take do not do full justice to the myriad sights this unique city has on offer. Please bear with me ...
Lucknow, the capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh (UP), is the second largest city in northern India after Delhi, and was the seat of Nawab power in the 18th and 19th centuries. The city's arts, craft and cultural scene is pretty strong, and the food scene here is vibrant. Being an ancient city, Lucknow is dotted with historical sites and monuments; one can't walk more than a few hundred metres without stumbling upon a site of historical relevance.
