Yes most imported oils are ILSAC-GF5 certified
And do give your opinion when you change back to 5W-30 and see if you feel a noticeable difference in response
I would think it will not be due to viscosity as weight is same that is 5W
But due to the fact that havoline is a inferior oil with inferior addict ivies
And frankly no problem in extended drain intervals upto 7-10000km depending on oil like Liqui moly mobil 1/ these oils can go upto 15000km/15000miles in some cases like Mobil 1 so we are still on the safe side, it's just a myth created to fool people in more regular oil changes and more money
Engine oil is sealed inside engine and if you take care of airfilter no worry about dust
In countries such as Dubai and even some America states they have much much more dust and they use evenore extended drain intervals
Plus if you use oem japan/Thailand oil filters then no issue as well as these same filters will be used in other countries as well
Infact the owners manual of any Altis even says to
Change oil at 6 months or 10000km and reccomends API SN
