Had a chance to visit Kabul for some offical work. So these are the cars spotted over there:

Hi All, Just want to Introduce myself and want to clear few things, My name is Naved jan and members of pakwheels know me as pardesi90, i am living in afghanistan since the fall of taliban, have seen people saying that these cars are smuguled from pakistan and other countries, so just tell you as there were no rules so cars were coming to Afghanistan from different parts of the world, so RHD and LHD care were imported, since 2007 they have a law that no one can import RHD cars and the exsisting cars will be converted into LHD. most of the LHD corolla,s are imported from Canada, germany and few from USA. they import accidented car and show lower value of cars, the total duty on cars is 15%.so now you can imagine why they have expensive cars. i also have a 98 surf which i bought for 750,000 PKR and there is Pakistan ppl are asking 16,00000 PKR, corolla 95-2000 models are cheaper than pakistan but models above 2000 are expensive.prices are same as in pakistan. further Benz and BMW are cheap, luxus, cruisers, and huge cars are expensive, but when you want to sell them they dont sell easily, sometimes it takes years to sell it, so if you bought a land cruiser 2002 model for 35000 USD, you will be very lucky to sell on 20,000 USD. the reason the consume more fuel as all of the cars run on petrol due to cold weather, and it is very difficult to start a diesel car.not all of these cars owners are drug dealers, most of the owners are rich people, so if you are getting 25000 USD per month for your house which you have rented so you have a right to buy a decent car.

Further want to tell you guys dont under estimate Afghanistan, it is destroyed in 33 years of war, in 1973 they had a concept and had a data center like we have NADARA in pakistan, they had electric buses, so you can ask people of that time, people from Pakistan in 170's used to come to kabul to watch indian movies.

Further Katrina kaif did the modeling for a tea company in kabul. they are found of Indian movies and they are still under influnced of India.

Further media portrays a different picture, yes war is there but in areas near pakistan boarder, i feel very comfortable living and roaming in kabul and out side kabul, there are many kool places to visit, if you have proper documents for travel no need to worry about, you can go anywhere at any time. one of my freind said people of Afghanistans are theif and murderes, it not like that. if you dont belive come and see.

doesnt it look like one of our paksuzuki alto's was stolen and taken to afghanistan it even appears to be RHD :O

stolen mehrans, motorcycles, and corollas from pakistan. all the suvs u saw they are owned by the private contractors. an average afghani has a donkey and 12 wives.
