@saifi can u clear wht gear we use on steep slopes and why pad got over heated on slope ? plz give me detailz.
Bhai have you ever heard about engine Braking?
I think no so its very easy to understand
When you accelerate your car on initial 2 gears its accelerate to a limited speed because of gear function.
So on steep slopes its advised to drive in 2nd or 1st gear if you ever noticed it on Kaller Kahar downhill on motorway from Isloo – Lahore section its clearly written on many boards (Gaari Chotay Gear may utaray).
In ordinary Cars ( the which we used ) braking system is not like ralley Cars or Circuit Cars we are using economical technology.
So let’s come to the point on a Steep Slope if you are driving on 3rd or 4th gear car will speed up as of slope without any noticeable power from engine because 3rd n 4th gears are for higher speeds n when a sharp turn came suddenly you applied full brakes car slowed down. One Thing I Clear you here Friction Creates Energy n when Brake Pads touches with Disk while braking to slow down the Car its start getting heat up. So because of continuously hard breaking both things became so hot that Brakes Fail because there is no friction in between them. On the Other hand if you are driving slow on 1st or second gears when you release the Gas pedal your car engine help you to slow the car because of low gear. N with the little help of Braking system you can slow or stop your car
