If u start listening to these jaahil mechanics, then consider yourselves doomed. I was told too by them that no running was required, and when i asked the reason, he said "itna bara engine he, iss ko running ki koi zarurat nahi. Iss ko bas road pe le k bhagao, jo marzi karo"
And i was like WTH..... Didnt argue with him back then coz I was too excited just to sit on that beast...... But by their logic, it means that trucks n trolleys should not need break-in at all
For the layman, the proof lies in the fact that there is so much initial wear n tear, that the first oil change that we do at 300km (sometimes 500) comes out real dark.... Would u still rev your bike at higher rpms during this period?
Lastly, there are different ways to break-in, and theres a separate thread to discuss that too, but no one has ever said that its not necessary
