Wa'alaikum-as-Salaam.
I also had been using Chinese 70 cc bikes. Recently, I have switched to Honda 100. It is a superb bike. It gives me:
Comfort:
The seat design keeps one relaxed even on long journeys. The road grip is very good.
Power & pick:
The engine picks up good. It easily maintains any speed regardless of load on it. The engine remains fairly smooth even at top speed.
Speed:
90 - 100 km/h is no problem for it with or without a passenger. If you want more speed, Honda 100 is not for you.
Mileage:
With all the above traits, it gives me a good ~55 km/liter average.
You mentioned you have to travel a lot (~80km daily), pick up this bike. It won't let you down.
Cons:
1- Honda needs to work on the gear box of this model. Gear transition is not smooth in Honda 100. The gear slides well, but it sounds like as if clutch wasn't properly pressed. One has to be really attentive while shifting gears to avoid that gear changing sound. However, this does not harm the gear box.
2- Headlight design needs improvement. It looks good, but the beam spreads out a lot and does not form a dot on the road. It gives poor visibility on dimly lit or absolutely dark roads. The beam concentration is very low. Honda should work on this issue so that beam spreading is reduced.
If you want to know more about this bike and my experience with it, do drop me a message. I'll be glad to share all I know about it.
Good luck!
@All others:
Please excuse me for brining in Honda 100 in this thread. But I had to suggest something good to the brother who's thinking of buying a new bike.
