M13A JDM Swift 2004-10 has VVT. 1.5/1.6 in Swift's everywhere came with VVT. It is the Pakistani version, which does not have VVT due to which there is a difference in fuel economy which is lower.
Another version that got really popular was the 1.2 VVT with CVT transmission. But here instead of a better tech CVT Paksuzuki has given an old 4 speed AT.
Paksuzuki is focused only on exploiting Pakistani consumers. Suzuki's worst lineup in any country across the world is in Pakistan. Even in other developing countries and African countries they are providing their latest models. They have just made Pakistan a dumping ground for 1980s era vehicles like Bolan, Ravi, Mehran and Cultus. Even their Liana and Swift are also globally retired vehicles with Pakistan the only market where they are being sold.
Later this month the All new Swift (fourth generation) is expected to be revealed soon at the Tokyo Motor Show as well. Keep in mind that the Paksuzuki Swift sold in Pakistan in 2015 is a simplified (and featureless) version of the second generation Swift revealed in Japan in 2004 and phased out in 2009/10. Pakistan will be two generations behind the rest of the world soon.
