Oh good its nice to hear from a fortuner owner, so tell us the acceleration compared to a civic and the rpm on 120km/h on motorway.
I was invited to the launching ceremony of fortuner by Toyota central motors in Karachi and was one of the first people to test drive it and I have got pictures to prove it. And my impressions especially about underpowered were based on that.
Not me but initial pakwheels reviews at time of launching actual output and power to weight ratio proves its underpowered, no where else in the world was this engine combination in fortuner offered with all whee drive further slowing it down and many people may even find gli comfortable and smooth but that's not a yardstick and oh it's suspension is based on Vigo champ which was orginsly deigned to be a load hauling vehicle not a luxury carrier
Compared to prado 2004 it's still slower and way worse performing than suvs like harrier hybrid, BMW X5 etc
I am not saying it's a bad car infact it's the only brand new suv available at that price but even so quality control, performance etc leave lot to be desired.
