Dear All,
I will be using this thread to post update/experience about my new ride Toyota Fortuner !
Car History:
I have kept Honda idsi 2009, Civic oriel 2009, 2014 Altis 1.6 M/T, 2015 Honda civic prosmatic
After driving these Sedans, i have been planning to buy a 4x4 for sometime. Add to that my heart, which start bugging me for a new car after 1 year or so... hence the force was strong for change.
I had budget of 5Million. so i first thing i did was to went to Audi showroom .. the A3 and A4 are gorgeous !
Due to a recent addition in my family, i have been finding out that normal sedan does not cut it for my traveling to Lhr-Isb. as the baby stroller alone takes up entire trunk space of civic. A3 and A4 gorgeous they may be , but in terms of space they can compared with city and civic respectively (only in terms of space)
Next was Prado's from 2007-2011. I like the 2010-2011 Prado a lot, but the cars i was finding in 6 Million range were USED. although the dealer would do good on cosmetic but the drive generally gives it away. I wanted a NEW car with a lot of space. Fortuner was in my mind from the start. so after a little consideration i decided to go for it.
Bought a new Fortuner "TRD sportivo".
its been 3 weeks so far. Loving it. I will post some pictures for now. detailed review will come later

Review:
Fuel Economy:
I am starting with the worst thing about this car. the fuel economy is low for this car.. thanks to its all time 4 WD (which is positive for many other fronts, but here its a big negative) and my heavy foot, I am getting 6.5 Km/L in city and 9.5 Km/L on motorway. I am using 80% high octane !
Handling:
One of the best feature of the car, for a big bulky car it handles very well.. The road grip is very very Good (i think all time 4 WD is reason). The steering is not light but it does fine for me. The handling is good even at high speeds. Road grip is fantastic
Exterior/Looks:
These things very subjective. I love the shape and looks of this car. I like the TRD rims as well.
Performance:
The car responds when you want to responds. Its not sluggish at all. Acceleration and speed is much better then my expectations, so a big Plus in my books.
Reliability:
Have not much spent much time with this vehicle yet, but i have taken it out on gravel, mud, sand, snow and have tried mild off-roading ... It is Very very reliable. Nothing stops it !
Interior:
I lobe the dark wooden trim on my car. I think it looks excellent. The speedometer and climate control panels are decent. Overall, a big thumbs up. Would have loved a sunroof though !
Safety:
The car has immobilizer and dual front airbags. I would have liked side/curtain airbags as well, but that's not an option in Indus Toyota.
