I faced a technical cheater at the time of my car registration.
Recently i bought a new mehran. The clerk at the registration window was taking so long to enter my data. After 15 Min wait, he argued that "Wo sir computer problem kar raha raha" After 20 Min he gave me payment receipt and I asked "how Much" He said,"Ooper likha huva hay khood parh lo". I check all details including chesis no, engine no etc (except one thing) if they are entered correct. After satisfaction i paid him 15580/=.
Happily after getting registration no. I rechecked. I missed something on the form. The price. The car original price was 537,000/= but the clerk put it 587,000/=.
mmmm ok no problem. may be it is just clerical mistake, I thought.
But when I recalcuate tax paid, I realized what that person is doing with all persons. He intensionally increased my car price by 50,000/= and all of you car owner know that the registration charges are 1% of car price. OH MY GOD... what he has done with me???
I at once rushed back to the office. Thanks God he as still busy at windows looting other people. I showed him the invoice and told him you have put wrong car price. The other public people on the Que was shocked to hear this.
The clerk at once took back my receipt, tore it apart and reenter my correct figure and after returning me my 500 he said "Sir jee ghati ho gai" "Agar app aaj naa atay toh aap ka data change karna buhat mushkil tha.."
I said "f**k you" in my heart and return home happily. It is learned from other persons that he habitually enter incorrect car/bike price for each customer and getting 1% extra on each increase thinking that "Kon check karta hoga..." But thanks to Allah who realized this to me.
I would like to warn other members to do double check while car registration...
Regards
Additional info:
when i reached home i also observed that the status of my chanal was: Printed.
when I reclaimed my 500 he gave me new receipt that reads status of my chanan: Deposited & Saved.
So I realize it was game of "Kachi Perchi and Paki Perchi"
I think you would understand what he is trying to do
