open trasfer leter validity

Dear pw member if u have Islamabad
car no transfer experience do share
me,iam going to buy gli and seler is in
lhr and it has islamabd no,seler has
open leter and he bought it in april and
since 2 months he has not tranfer his car in his name he said me that he wil
gve me that open transfer leter ,tel me
is that valid in exsise islamabd ofice,is
there any limit of open transfer leter.plz
i need ur help ,

yeah its valid.. just simply write ur name on it..n transfer it when ever u visit islamabad.
do ask for the CNIC copy with transfer letter.

although government discourage both seller and buyer from open transfer letters...
but open transfer letter does not expire...
however, keep in mind that the seller ID card copy attached with it may expire...which may create complications....as legally the expired ID card will not be valid for transfer later on....hence, much preferable is that the purchaser get the car transferred to his/her name as soon as possible..

whats transfer cost for vitz 2005?

as per my knowledge, legal transfer fee in Punjab is around Rs. 1300/- for a 1000cc car.
and normally it takes a maximum of one week to transfer a car in someone's name..
mind you the above fee can be increased up to 5 or 6 thousands or more if you involve transfer agents....this specie is usually found hovering around Excise and Taxation Offices around Pakistan in great numbers
