July is here and its time to pay the car token/tax money.
please provide the following information just for the sake of comparison/convenience of others.

Any one has any idea about 1000 cc or less car tokens, i just heard that instead of post office now you have to go to your nearest excise and taxation office for token on 1000 cc or less. If this is true than this is non sense, are they facilitating people or doing the opposite :@

bro token tax of 1300 cc and above in isb is 3300 not 2098,ur vehicle is below 1300cc as per papers may be 1298cc thats why it falls in lower category of tax

i have also listened a news of life time token for 10000 rps and that too in excise office not post offices.is it correct?

What about throng at Islamabad GPO........what are the timings for token tax collection, which day and time is best to deposit the token fee? Kindly tell me.

Are there any decent alternative ways to collect road tax? Why our authorities stuck with old age collection system. They should also accept online banking payments (like we pay our utility bills online), pay orders, DDs, TTs and sent a renewal sticker by courier (may charge courier fees).

why is this so that toyota makes 1298 cc and makes its vehicle comes in lower level tax shade whereas honda writes 1300cc on city papers that makes its tax in upper category

last year i checked they collect books till 1p.m. they have a collection counter
then they process and return after sometime. if u go after that its useless
in other post offices you can go for token till 3p.m. GPO has made its own system
not sure, pick mid week and the hotest day ............
i send someone to do it for me.rush in GPO is insane

its lot of difference in tax amount for lhr and isb reg cars and its not justified

For provinces it is provincial government and their excise and taxation departments who have increased the yearly road tax. Since Islamabad does not have its own government assembly etc (National Assembly, Senate are for entire country) mainly bureacrates in interior ministry decide about such affairs and they have not raised the token tax for ages which is 348 rs and 384 rs per year, rest of the amount is federal taxes (advance income tax etc) which is applicable to all provinces and ICT alike.
