... disc pads are a mixture of compounds including leather, synthetics, metal and even sand & stone. The purpose is to get minimum wear and keep it cool durib operation but it should never harm the disc
... now when we put cheaper disc pads (local, taiwan, japan all brands included) and not the genuine ones this mattullergy shift. these hard pads on heat not only deshape irregularly but also scratch the disc
... when the mechanic asks for tooling of disc "you should assess whether i'll use substandard disc pads or genuine in future", if the answer is sub-standard (original are generally 5k plus for a pair) then avoid tooling till you are having some serious braking problem because tooling has a limit; i.e, after a few time of this treatment you'll have to change disc
... now these substandard disc pads also swell as per humidity in environment since their leather content is more and sub-standard as well. this swelling causes abnormal nioses, even slightly stuck breaks in the early morning start and behaves better afte r a few kms of driving or u can say after heating up
