The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

there is a button on ur gear shift which is a small round butoon press dat n your msg will dissappear

hehe. dont worri man. od (overdrive) is for fuel economy and runs the car on higher gears. when u turn the od off itll make it accel better and run it on lower gears, but consumes more fuel compared to the od. so u should turn on yr od and that by pressing the little button under your gear shift button.

Can you use O/D in the city where the traffic is usually stop and go and one doesn't go more than 3 gear?

Any feedback on this would be appreciated.

what the hell is shift lock button ? nothing happens when i presses it and can i switch between "2" and "L" while driving ?? or should i start with L only then to 2 and then D whats the sequence ?

@tyrone. yes u can. ive noticed that my car stays in 3rd mostly. even if im going real slow.

@vitz. well yr not suppose to press that button. that button is for unlocking yr gear. like some times the gear gets screwed up and dosnt change gear. for example, u wont be able to put it in D from P. so then ull have to use the lil red button. its for emergencys.
and yes u can shift between 2 and L while driving. but becarefull that yr rpm is not too high while shifting from 2 to L. cause L is like first gear and 2 is second. basically these gears are for uphill driving where u need more power so u use these. dont keep shifing between the gears regularly as it will screw up yr tranny. so ya just stick to D.

navigation is useless unless there is a PK cd in it (which doesn't exist as far as i know)

if you have the japanese CD in there all you'll see is an arrow of your car floating in the ocean or on the border of japan.....

yaar there is a vitz near my home. it is 2002 model. us main new corolla ke jo bumper fittings atee hai jo very common hai wo lagee howe thee. mera sawal yea hai key yea fitting kitney tak ke miltee hai aur footrest. aur spoiler ke rates kia hai? aur main chatha hoo ke apnee vitz main corolla key fog lamps laga loo. to kia yea mumkin hai?

someone here has also fit a rolla bumper (bottom end) to a vitz and it looks ok (sorry i don't have pics of that car with me)

As for the foglights, you can fit rolla foglights to any 02+ bumperby cutting the edges just a little bit. Here is @alraze's car with the corolla foglight conversion:

salamz all.. i am a new vitz owner.. i got 2001 model in white color.. i want to change it's front bumper as in 2001 model there is no specific grill for fog lights. but someone told me that i have to replace the front head lamps as well because the shape of 2001 head lamps are not compatible with 2002-03 bumpers.

i want to know if there is anybody in isb/rwp who can trade in for 2001 front head lamps and bumper to 2002-03 head lamps and bumpers? plus i want to know the estimated exchange price of it. thanks in advance.

Hi to all,
I was looking for accessories for my car and I came accross your forum. I ve read the whole thread and found it very interesting, Mr Storm seems to be a nice guy and a knowledgable person.
As far as I ve come to understand.. there's been no progress on the manual issue and people are still confused about the models, prices, CNG and all the gadgets available in these new imported models.
I would like to join the club as a vitz 2004 (yes!! it has all the key componentes ive checked ) owner from islamabad.
My car is still in OEM condition but I plan on replacing Rims, Tyres, add Spoiler and some fog lights. will post pics soon.
