Default Vitz Owners Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

@fas87

the front axle boot [b]might[b/] have leaked all the grease. if its dry then it will create sounds, and damage the axle joint if the boot is not replaced.

So this is the Vitz owners club, hmmm need some honest opinions as I intend to buy Vitz.

First of all, I have been told by many people that VItz gives quite a problem on CNG, its A/T messes up after use blah blah. Further my search for truth, I was told models after Year 2004 gives problem with CNG. But then again someone said no even 2004 is no good.

Can someone please tell me unbiasedly, are these remarks holding any weight. How does the car run on CNG, the availability and prices of parts and other related problems. I will really appreciate some help.

Regards

@thornofcarrion::
CNG works great in vitz from 1999~2004 model. and is not suitable for vitz model 2005 and up. The reason behind this is, from 99~04 vitz have 4 cylinder engine and CNG kits available in Pakistan are for 4 cylinders. Model above then 04 (new shape) have 3 cylinder engine to provide good fuel consumption.
And there is no need to install CNG as vitz fuel consumption is great in 05 and above models.
Spare Parts are easily available in market which includes new as well as old. Spare parts Prices are almost equivalent to Corolla or Honda parts.
If we took Tail lights as an example: the genuine used tail lights(kabuli) will cost you around 12000 for a pair in good condition, while the new Chinese one are around 7000 pair and Taiwanese are around 10000 pair. Prices vary city to city.

@Imran, wat do u think, Khyber, mehran, Cultus Carborator are 4 Cylinder Engines?

secondly jis ke pas jo Model Vitz ka Cng pe hai wo khush hai. jo khush nae hai they have removed CNG. or either sold there cars.

I drove a friend's belta and vitz both 2005 model and drive was excellent in both except for the VERY annoying sound of the engine in the cabin. I'm sorry but the engine in both sounded like a washing machine running at full speed

PS: both were on petrol.

the new models of vitz have less power ,
2 hp less & having 30 torque less
due to the 3 cylinder engine

@chinyoti::: My brother Khyber, mehran, Cultus all have non VVTI type engines. Search the web for why 3-cylinders vvti engine are not performing good with CNG kits.

some thing strange happend wid my Vitz, i came out off a shop sat in Vitz locked it, with the lock button above the power Windows, now wen unlocking it it jst wont work. ( i wasnt wearing my seat belt then). i was realy pissed ab yh kya hua.

the next day on my way back to the Uni i had the seat belt on. nd wen came home tuk off the seat belt the whole car unlocked it self. i was amazaed. then i tried using the unlock button. so it works wen the seat belt is on nd doesnt works wen the seat belt isnt on.

so my point of saying it is dat, how did it happen? in a manner its kinda gud, as it forces one to wear seat belts, (altho em very care full about it nd i wear it) but on the other hand some times u dont want to unlock the entire car and it jst unlocks, as my corola nd vitz wen locked the driver door opens from inside widout un locking.
