Dear All
Please guide me where I can get a replacement turbo for my charade diesel 86 in Rawalpindi / Peshawar. What would be the rough price range. My trubo has stopped giving me the pick it used to have earlier. Also it has started leaking oil. Plz Plz Plz Help me. I have even posted new topics but NOBODY replies. Looking forward to getting some advice. Thanks |

brother u can buy the turbo from rawalpindi from mitthu khan ka ahata the shop name is "GULAB SHAIR AUTO" brother he has hundred's of engine of charade u can buy the turbo very easily from him. |

hey guyz um planning to buy a charade, ive been looking around, en i found one in excellent condition, it has 4 wheel disc brakes,(rear are converted), 15inch original oz racing rims, engine in perfect condition cb80 turbo. New interior. its an 88 charade gtti with electric sunroof, I have no idea of charade market, how much should it be around

21 years old car, all depends upon body (repaints n denting issues), engine ( blow by, turbo) and interior. Post pics for evaluation. I can pay for a Gttx today if ISB driven excellent 9/10 overall around 300K. Rest, thing differs on the ground.

aslamualikum,
guys i am facing a problem in my charade,when i drive it i feel like my car is floating on the road what should i change in suspension to fix it. And second thing when i drive slow i heard the sound like "tuk tuk tuk" even though i have just change its internal excel but the problem still exist. plz tell me what should i do to overcome with these problem thanks. |

Hi fellows
I have posted earlier on the forum. I have a charade 87 reg 91, Lahore number. I started building it and now it has a Diahatsu 1.3L EFI engine, All new rear and front suspension including shocks, sound system, new tires & battery. Mechanically I have made it what I wanted. Its very fast and sound is great. Just some little bit of shiny work on of the body is left, but I have exhausted my funds. If anyone is interested in buying I am willing to sell in the amount which it costs me (Rs.250,000). I will post an ad as well but I thought that only a charade lover would understand the pain and value of modifying a charade. PS : Exchange can also be considerd. (Aftab-0333-5049406) |

can u shed some light on this problem of the engine revving up like mad all by itself, please I guess that revving up occured after you finnished climbing some steep hill on the way?? Diesel engines are fitted with a thing called "speed governor". Forget about technical stuff, its simple job is to increase the desiel flow to engine (without change in throttle input by the driver) to cater for the possible reduction in speed on steep climbs. This governor operates becaue of negative pressure (vacuum) applied through the induction manifold. A small vacuum pipe operates it. Now when this governor atarts getting stuck up and fails to return to its default position, the increased flow of desiel is not reduced when the steep climb is finnished. Result= high engine RPM. I tried to explain it in lay man terms. hope not a greek. mind u many mechanics also dont know the reason bc charades engines designed in early 80s are still small mircles beyond the vision of many mechanics. i hope this will help. feel free to discuss, i might be wrong and i have learned alot from this forum [/quote] You are exactly right. I have faced this problem of revving after climbing steep inclines like hill and interchange ramps of motorway. And you are right the mechanics dont have a solution.
