Default "Toyota Platz/Echo Owners+Fans Club"

@psycho-killer
Thanks for giving me honour to open this club.

Since the no. of platz owners is increasing gradually in Pakistan, it is now necessary to have our own club sothat we share our technical knowledge, our experience and problems with each other.This will help many members in maintaining their rides properly, searching for spare parts and so on.So here is our own club. All Platz owners and fans are welcome to participate and contribute towards this club to keep it always up.

I bought my platz just 2 weeks back which is a/t, 1.0L engine, navy blue metallic colour, 2002 model. I bought it in 480k.It is registered but has no cng.I found it very reliable, more spacious and more comfortable than my earlier city99.It has all the features one could wish to have in his car.So far, I am very satisfied with it. Here are a few pics of my ride:

is there really a reason not to use the vitz owners club page? we can request HB to rename the thread to vitz/platz/echo fan club instead. all the info you guys will need is over there anyways.

AOA Guys,
Yesterday, I cleaned cabin airfilter myself which had dust and fiber particles accumulated their.Firstly, I had beaten it gently on the floor and then washed it with pressure water, got it dried and then fixed back.It gave me a lot of confidence and the blower air is now increased significantly.

Today, I got the throttle body cleaned by the mechanic and he checked the fuel filter condition also.The throttle body had carbon but fuel filter was okey.The fuel pump and filter can be excessed underneath the rear seat.I paid Rs 200 for this job.After this job, I feel improvement in acceleration.

AOA All
I own a 99 Toyota Platz. Recently I had to change the spark plugs of my car, mechanic replaced the plugs with Denso K16PR-U. Later I checked the Denso site, they have recommended K16R-U for toyota platz. Although the car is running fine, I want to know if there is any complication in using different plugs.
Thanks

@smk4
Spark Plugs recommended by the Manufacturer are BKR5EYA(NGK) with the gap 0.8mm and we should try to stick to the manufacturer's recommendation to get the optimum performance.Other plugs may have different heat range.

Dear Members,

I had bought Toyota Platz fully loaded(Automatic, digital meter) 2003 Model one moth ago, it was on petrol initially and I installed CNG 3 days ago after some drive my meter started to show a orange color indicator on my car's meter, I don't know what problem is being identified by the the orange color indicaor, but my car often truned off while driving on both fuel types i.e. Petrol & CNG. Can anybody diagnose the problem or tell me the good mechanic in islamabad of platz?

@m7a
My platz is a/t one and I had been driving it on petrol till yesterday and it gave me 19+km/l on GT road and motorway mixed journey.Finally, after a lot of survey and inquires, I got it converted to cng from Lahore from Makkah CNG near chauburji chowk and opposite to Miani Sahib graveyard.I got Tomasetto Emulator and Lovatto advancer plus Landiranzo Kit with 55l cylinder. So far, I am very happy and satisfied.No check engine light and no difference in car pick. About average, I will let u know later.Regarding spare parts, I believe that now availability is getting better day by day and they are cheaper than before.
@ fazalsidhu

Br. I believe, u should report your complaints and troubles to the mechanic u got your car converted from.By the way, How much u paid for your conversion and what brands they have installed?

tariq & waleed, i think you're either confused or want to have your own club.

the platz is mechanically identical to the vitz. unless your rear boot is broken there is no reason that the Vitz thread cant help you.

They have charged me Rs 36,000 for the complete installation of LAndi Ranzo gass kit.

@fazalsidhu
It is nice to know that your problem is solved.The charges paid for kit installation are reasonable. By the way,I paid Rs.33000 for complete conversion because that was through a friend of mine and I got it at wholesale rate.
