****Japanese oldies club****

Well this is my first time writing on Pakwheels ...
and i thought that why not to have an OLD Car Club of Cars kept in good condition with models not later then 1980. so for that let me start this by posting the pisc of my car.

Its an Old Mazda 323 - 1979 with 1.3 Liter Original Engine and A left Hand Drive

but this seems more of a club for old cars as opposed to highly collectable vintage cars (Y)

i dont think a old car club would be apropriate #1 beacuse a club that fullfills that niche already exists in pakistan and is very well functional #2 the name old car club is very lame , how ever what can be done is that a vinatge japanese car club can be setup the purpose of the club should only revolve around japanese cars #3 you cant just go around and make a club just because you have a old car ones needs to understand what it takes to make a club a club needs to have a proper setup a mission statement and most of all a criteria , one can not just let some one who has an old japanese car become a member other wise every other taxi driver in pindi would become a member , their should be rules such as the car should be highly original #4 whats wrong with cars after 1980 ?? i mean seriously lets say some where 30 40 years down the lane post 1980 cars are going to have the same respect 30 40 year old cars have right now now what do you want to see post 1980 cars just being scraped just because they are not old enough to be in the club . to sum it all up i dont think you have a clear iniative to open up or form a club

I think his intention is to gather people with daily driven cars which are somehow common and known to all.

Also a club which already exists namely VCCCP is mainly oriented towards rare/collectibles rather then japanese daily runabouts from 60's or 70's

yes and its good in a way i do not have any intentions to disuade any one and from what i think it would be great to have a vintage japanese car club its just the there is a mother load of old japanese cars out there in all sorts of conditions now from what i understand and i might be wrong is that a club has to have some criteria before any thing else comes btw you have a really nice looking 74 rolla and it inspired me to restore my grand fathers only japanese car that is still with us but for some reason it didnt go ahead .

there is a 74 corolla in the family that is in working condition but very beaten up and not in use any more .i was trying to bring her back to life but circumstances were such that i couldnt my father also has a 82 corona in great shape extreemly original down to the upholstery even though its 26 years old which isnt alot but still lover her now i know why he didnt let us eat in the car when we were kids hehe.
