As per your wish here is the post Brazil point situation using my altered points formula for the World Driver's Championship and Button goes to the AbuDhabi GP with a healthy 9 points advantage. Here PBrRP is post Brazil real points and PBrAP is post Brazil altered points, while Points are the after Abu Dhabi original points. The only thing to be noted is McLaren and Ferrari are tied on points situation for 3rd position in WCC.

Thanks for posting the points table and also for starting the 2010 thread. So, Button would still have won the title in Brazil, taking into account your points Formula I was hopping maybe he would be denied under some calculation, but guess not.It's my first post on this thread and the next post is sad news about Toyota quitting F1. The only silver lining is that Sauber will be on the grid next season after Toyota quit. That's two constructors gone in two years and somehow i cant help but feel that both would have been in F1 had Honda acquired the services of Alonso last year as they wanted, and Toyota the services of Raikkonen this year.

h1 Toyota to announce it is leaving F1/h1
Toyota is expected to announced later today that it is withdrawing from Formula 1 with immediate effect, according to reports in the Japanese press, following a decision by the company's board of directors on Tuesday in Japan. The official announcement is expected to be made on Wednesday afternoon Japan time, with representatives of the Toyota Motor Company reportly planning to hold a press conference to explain its decision. The decision comes after months of speculation about the future of the team, a year after its Japanese rival Honda has withdrawn from F1 and just days following Bridgestone's announcement that it will end its F1 involvement after next season. The Cologne-based Toyota team joined F1 at the start of the 2002 season, taking part in 139 grands prix and - albeit having one of the largest team budgets in the sport - failed to take a race win. Suggestions the car maker will withdraw from F1 has surfaced throughout the year, but were repeatedly denied by company officials. Moreover, the team signed the new Concorde Agreement just recently, committing to the sport until the 2012 season.

Nico Hulkenberg Lowdown
Williams's new signing Nico Hulkenberg is the latest product of a German junior racing scene determined to churn out potential successors to Michael Schumacher. He has been earmarked for stardom from an early age, having shone in karting and picked up the patronage of Schumacher's management Willi Weber. Hulkenberg delivered the German Formula BMW title in his first season in cars, but it was in A1GP in 2006 and 2007 that he really came to the motorsport world's attention, as the then 19-year-old took a victory in his debut weekend in the nation versus nation series and went on to sweep to the championship title for Team Germany. Williams engineering chief Patrick Head recently remarked that it was this performance that encouraged the team to take a closer look at the rising young talent, who went on to add the Formula 3 Euro Series title in 2008 and then to win GP2 in his rookie season this year, just as Lewis Hamilton had back in 2006. By this time Hulkenberg was already a Williams test driver, and was entrusted with rather more of the pre-season preparation work than many of his fellow reserves – his promotion to the race squad being a question of 'when' rather than 'if'.

@UK
Yes, a sad news indeed and the biggest looser in this situation is Kobayashi because I think he deserves a full time drive for atleast next season. It means in 2 season F1 have lost 3 manufacturers(Honda, BMW and Toyota) and may be Renault could also take the way out. What happens to the concorde agreement Toyota have signed in July according to which they are bound to take part in F1 in next 3 seasons. Looks like we may not be able to see a full grid(26 cars) for next season atleast. Now the search for the next tyre supplier for season 2011 and onwards is started and as the below links shows that top tyre manufacturers are not keen to return to the F1 arena who you guess would replace Bridgestone. Search begins for F1's 2011 tyre supplier Michelin and Goodyear, the most recent tyre brands in Formula One, have played down suggestions they might take over from Bridgestone as F1's exclusive supplier in 2011 and beyond.

Bridgestone leaving F1 because they thinks there is not more challenges remain for them in this sports, I think they want the return of tyre war years where tyre manufacturers try to make the best tyres to suit different tracks and certainly there was some competition between the Michelin and Bridgestone for the best tyre compound for different tracks. On the other hand FIA does not want tyre war to return in F1 because it will hurt their efforts of reducing cost.

No idea what the status of Toyota is, having signed to be in F1 for three years and then pull out suddenly. I for one find the financial excuse a little hard to believe. Toyota were one of the teams who were against cost cutting measures or rather drastic cost cutting measures. John Howett was the vice chairman of FOTA, one of the people who took on Max Mosley. Is it a mere coincidence that all the big players, Ron Dennis, Flavio Briatore and now John Howett have left the sport just as we got rid of Mosley, and that Ron Dennis should make an appearance at a race track, Abu Dhabi, after the election of a new FIA president? Renault, I feel with stay in F1, at least for another year or so and then think about what to do. If the latest rumors, connecting Kubica with a move to Ferrari in 2011 are correct than Renault might well quit and become engine suppliers to Red Bull. That is an approach I wish Toyota had taken with Williams. If FIA had not f***ed with Michelin, to please their " special " friends Ferrari, all in the name of tire war and cost cutting they might still have been in F1. Good luck to FIA finding a company big enough and willing to supply 26 cars.

Hulkenberg hopes to match Barrichello
New Williams signing Nico Hulkenberg hopes he can match his vastly experienced 2010 team-mate Rubens Barrichello from the outset when he makes his Formula 1 debut next year. Timeline: Toyota's F1 programme When Toyota came into Formula 1, it was considered to be a question of when, rather than if, the Japanese manufacturer would start winning. Cosworth sad to see Toyota leave Cosworth has expressed its sadness at news of Toyota's departure from Formula 1, and said the decision emphasised the need to keep pushing cost cuts forward. FOTA regrets Toyota departure The Formula One Teams' Association (FOTA) says it is sorry to see Toyota leave Formula 1 but insists the sport is still in a period of strength. FIA 'concerned' by Toyota's exit The FIA has described Bridgestone and Toyota's decisions to exit Formula 1 as a 'concern' - and says it wants to clarify Toyota's legal position as it had previously committed to the sport until 2012. Ferrari: Pull-outs not due to downturn Ferrari has suggested that the departure of Toyota, BMW and Honda from Formula 1 in the past year is due to the actions of the sport's bosses rather than the economic downturn. Button sad to see Toyota leave F1 World champion Jenson Button says it is sad to see Toyota leaving Formula 1, after the Japanese company announced it was pulling out following the 2009 season. Etihad to pay Force India damages Etihad Airways and Aldar Properties have been ordered to pay the Force India Formula 1 team $4.6 million as a compensation for terminating a sponsorship deal. Ecclestone sets deadline for Silverstone Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has told Silverstone to sign the deal to host the British Grand Prix in the next 48 hours if the race is to stay on the 2010 calendar. Horner: Formula 1 in good health Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner believes that Formula 1 is in good health despite Toyota becoming the third manufacturer to quit the sport in the last 12 months. Trulli 'not surprised' by Toyota exit Jarno Trulli said he was not at all surprised by Toyota's decision to withdraw from Formula 1 with immediate effect. Lotus wants experienced drivers Lotus hopes to finalise its driver line-up by the end of this month, with technical chief Mike Gascoyne admitting that it wants two experienced men on board next year. Lotus design under scrutiny Force India is keeping a close eye on the progress of the Lotus Formula 1 team's 2010 design, with team sources saying it is concerned about the similarities between its old car and the new Lotus. Renault delays decision on F1 future Renault will make a decision on its participation in Formula 1 in the future before the end of 2009, the French car maker said on Thursday. @UK The Renault news piece is not giving positive signs, and looks like Renault is also going out just as I says yesterday. I hope they stay in F1 for as long as possible for them to stay. The only thing positive coming out of Toyota's exit is now the teams doesnot need to detune the engines for next as the slowest engine of the grid has left F1. Toyota could face legal action by FIA because they have signed the concorde agreement which says they are part of the grid till the end of 2012 and leaving the grid means they have to give a proper answer of breaking the contract. ROC video, so Michal is still 0.5 secs faster then the new WDC Button, I like that. Now, in tennis Federer was beaten by Pakistani tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq, in a doubles match how did that happened.

h1 Alonso makes first visit to Ferrari factory/h1
Fernando Alonso’s Ferrari adventure is underway. The two time world champion has begun the programme of seat fitting and preliminary work with the Scuderia. Ferrari’s official website confirms that the Spaniard arrived at Maranello around 8am, met with team principal Stefano Domenicali, saw the wind tunnel and met Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo. He also did a few laps of Fiorano in a road going 458 Italia. Unlike Michael Schumacher’s first day with Ferrari, which turned into pageant, it was a low key visit, due to the vagueness of the sponsor situation. This suits both sides in may ways, as Ferrari has generally disliked being seen to hire champions, preferring to create them instead. The image of an all conquering hero riding in to Ferrari’s rescue doesn’t play well. In Schumacher’s case, after 17 years of failure, it was slightly different and an exception was made. According to today’s Gazzetta dello Sport, Alonso is scheduled to appear at the Ferrari Day celebrations, later this month, which are taking place at Valencia on 13th to 15th November. It has always been a source of fascination as to why Ferrari chose to organise their event at Valencia. It served to feed the speculation that a deal with Alonso was done. As it turns out they may have an event with neither of their 2010 drivers present, as Felipe Massa’s wife is due to give birth to his first son any moment. However it is likely that a deal will be done to allow Alonso to make his public debut with the team. h1 /h1
