Gentlemen I am pleased to share the mileage that i am getting from my 2nd hand 2010 model 33k (now 36k km) driven suzuki swift which is one of the few japnese ones sold by pak suzuki. Please read from the bottom most entry. I am having quite a lot of Barkat with fuel.

    Suzuki Swift Owners Club -1114908
    SUMMARY:

Average Fuel consumption turns out to be slightly higher than 16 km per litre.

the two worst fuel consumptions are due to 1) a two hour long traffic jam in rain 2) being cheated at a fuel station. (the filling person didnt reset the meter to zero. be careful at the PSO pump near Airport)

    hey guys

yesterday i went to suzuki for 1000km check up and i was a little disappointed. All they did was check the nutbolts and air filter and water level. I mean is that it?
I asked them to change oil they decclined.
Secondly should I change the plugs to iridum now or should i wait for the car to reach 10000km as the guy said and the oil aswell!!!.
    Please advise!

they dont have the oil change and things that you ve mentioned in the schedule that they have for these cars. so do what ever pleases you. changing oil early is a good thing but maybe it isnt required and you ll just over do things. it all depends how you want to keep your car.

spark plugs: clean them after 10k and replace them on 20k. follow these intervals for the next plugs that you ll put in next time. these intervals are for ordinary plugs. seriously it would be a waste of money if you throw them at 10k. iridium ones have longer life but they still need to be cleand at 10k km intervals

No need of it. you car is doing fine if you were able to achieve 13.9 kmpl. just keep on doing the scheduled maint. on time. about consumption it all depends upon where you drive and how you drive your car. In my case 90% of my driving is of isb expressway. so i am able to achieve 15+. IMO swift is a gas guzzler for driving in urban conditions.

@Retaliator, that's awesome fuel consumption for a 1.3L engine. It can easily put a lot of 1.0L cars to shame.

But still, your worst is better than my best which is 13.9km/L. Khi traffic is terrible with 30 minutes of jams which literally kills your average.

    Dear all,

In order to make this thread useful can someone post the specs of various consumables as specified in the user manual. For example: grade of engine oil, grade of gear oil / auto transmission oil, spark plug nos., coolant type and quantity and change intervals. the recommended intervals for every type of maintenance / replacement. important procedures / guidelines / warnings from the manual.

Can someone scan or take photos of the user manual and upload here.

Many of us including me are without the user manual so it ll help a lot.

    @ moizhusain
thanks and rest assure that these are accurate and not the data from ODBII port. its manually calculated by putting in figures of odo, qty of fuel and rs. and except for second worse consumption i get my fuel filled from one petrol pump and from a single dispenser and fill the tank up to the mark where the filling automatically stops.
I have amazing figures from other cars. and i hyper-mile a little. just a little.

Some say that you should change oil whether the company suggest's u or not!!!
secondly some people suggested me to change the plugs to improve the performance and economy....
that is why I am confused!!!!
