    Default Daihatsu Mira fan club

I am seeing a LOT of this car on the roads these days. Seems like it is becoming very popular among the people in its class (660 cc?). I did not see a club for it, so I have made it here (mods, if this is a repeat, please delete).

So folks who own a Mira, please post pictures and tell us what you think about this car, how much did you buy it for, what fuel economy it gives you and how you rate it.

I myself am not a Mira owner, however am very curious about this one.

    Cheers!

Hmm my 14 year old 1800 CAR does 14 KMPL whats the point of 660cc if you cant even get 20?

There is nothing to be fan of this car its designed for economy which is still it doubt. Just drive it for 4 years and see how much fuel avg and top speed you can achieve..

Driven a 2008 model 660cc automatic, interior is very spacious and modern. Driven it on long journey has reached 120km/h quite often and average speed through the journey was 100km/hr with air con ON and all 4 seats occupied. amazing performance from this little 660cc car. IMPRESSIVE

that figure would be the best that ur car does. but for this car the figures are for normal running and within city.

Thats the avg babo the best I got was close to 15.5. My Friends honda CITY IDSI Easily does 16 to 17 KMPL. Another friends new Swift which he never drives slow does 15.5 easily. I mean I use to like these 660CC but now I am against these.

@San91 - Good photo shoot and nice car! Thanks for posting the pictures.

As far as I know, all the 660 cc cars fall in the Kei car category in Japan. These are special small cars that are low cost and have some ease in terms of taxes and regulations. They are not meant to be performance behemoths, however just are kept small and within a maximum engine power range through regulations. Some achieve exceptional performance with those, while others don't. So maybe it might also be a good idea to compare the Mira to other Kei cars available in the JDM import market these days.

There must be something wrong with the tunning or may injectors need cleaning! Your mira is not giving a millage that it is designed for. Even mine 2006(square shape) is giving me 16Kms + /L. Your Mira has got newer and more economical engine (KF-VE) that can easily give you 19 kms man! BTW very nice photoshoot for your car....!! GUD LUCK,,,

as you can see in the pictures that i have replaced its original tires and steel rims with wide range tires and alloy rims to increase its beauty. thats why its fuel average is lower than it should be. other thing is driving style, if i wish to get 20km/l than i can easily get it but in that driving style i didnt feel comfortable. and yes nowadays this car also needs tuning and spark plugs replacement also.

and thanks for appreciating my photoshoot.
