haha... akhir kar usman bhai nay santro club bana hee dia! (Y)! best of luck usman bhai !
i am alive... must b da reason y i m king of my castle! must b da reason y i m free in my trapped soul.....
Now i want to elaborate some significant differences where no doubt it is a real success.
First of all, SANTRO introduced in PAKISTAN having an EFi which was very much new in this class considering the local market.
Now what is
??? Where exactly it differs from
I would like to mention all this here so that it should be crystal clear that it is a real SUCCESS.
Advantages of EFi
Uniform AirIFuel Mixture Distribution
Each cylinder has its own injector which delivers fuel directly to the intake valve. This eliminates the need for fuel to travel through the intake manifold, improving cylinder to cylinder distribution.
Highly Accurate AirIFuel Ratio Control Throughout All Engine Operating Conditions
EFi supplies a continuously accurate air/fuel ratio to the engine no matter what operating conditions are encountered. This provides better driveability, fuel economy, and emissions control.
Superior Throttle Response and Power
By delivering fuel directly at the back of the intake valve, the intake manifold design can be optimized to improve air velocity at the intake valve. This improves torque and throttle response.
Excellent Fuel Economy With Improved Emissions Control
Cold engine and wide open throttle enrichment can be reduced with an EFi engine because fuel puddling in the intake manifold is not a problem. This results in better overall fuel economy and improved emissions control.
Improved Cold Engine Startability and Operation
The combination of better fuel atomization and injection directly at the intake valve improves ability to start and run a
Simpler Mechanics, Reduced Adjustment Sensitivity
The EFi system does not rely on any major adjustments for cold enrichment or fuel metering. Because the system is mechanically simple, maintenance requirements are reduced.
Thank u for wishing me best of luck. I will try my best to remove the misconceptions of people about this car here.
goodluck!.It is an underrated car in Pak.Hyundai sold more than a million cars of this model style in India alone, and also many parts of the globe.Sad that it has not been marketed well in Pak.
New York and Chennai
The problem with
in PAK is some what with the poor MANAGEMENT of
and very much with the
who r BRAND CONCIOUS.
The car itself is very good.
wikipedia has this as an objective of EFi.
The functional objectives for fuel injection systems can vary. All share the central task of supplying fuel to the combustion process, but it is a design decision how a particular system will be optimized. There are several competing objectives such as:
- power output
- fuel efficiency
- emissions performance
- ability to accommodate alternative fuels
- driveability and smooth operation
- initial cost
- maintenance cost
- diagnostic capability
- range of environmental operation
Certain combinations of these goals are conflicting, and it is impractical for a single engine control system to fully optimize all criteria simultaneously. In practice, automotive engineers strive to best satisfy a customer's needs competitively.
The modern digital electronic fuel injection system is far more capable at optimizing these competing objectives than a carburetor
no doubt Santro is a good and economical car. EXEC
main tey honda hi lay saan !!!!
count me in as a Huyndai Santro Fan.... i also own one
i luv it...
Please add this statement in the TITLE of this thread.
Share ur experience here and also post the MILAGE u r getting from
you are here also anyway i caught you
and you already know na that i will scribble it! LOL
anyway i cant believe you like santro this much
you already know i seriously dont like the car.
also driven my neighbours santro its same.
well i am not an acceleration junkie. but the fact is you are never in the power band while driving santro.
I know that the EFI has absolute advantage over carburetter. and carburretor is really outdated stuff. but its not working here in this car. its working tiptop in honda City and other cars.
anyway the milage is 11-13KMPL.(depends upon driving)
but according to the performance and the fact its EFI it should be 14-15 KMPL.
i dont mind if it uses 10kmpl but it should perform so that you feel it worth.
How about the following.
--Value of Money.
anyway its now a long story among us.
Which other cars you like?(sorry if discussed earlier)
I always prefer it over the RIVALS which u hav in mind.
In winter season the engine of SANTRO starts easily when their ENGINE REFUSE to START.
In summer season the AC of SANTRO makes the cooling when their AC REFUSE to make the cooling.
I think the problem actually lies here in ur case.
DRIVING STYLE of SANTRO
is a little bit different from the DRIVING STYLE of any CARBORATOR engine car. I mean the TIMING of the CLUTCH really does matter here.
I should give u my personal example.
When i was learning how to drive, I never made it in SANTRO and other car because of different timings of the CLUTCH.
What i observed for a new driver it is to some extend HARD to do driving in SANTRO.
But when u use to it u really love it then.
Also when i gave SANTRO for TEST DRIVE to my 5 friends who r expert drivers but not with EFi.
At first attempt
they all SHUT the ENGINE
exactly like a new driver. :O
And after wards they didn't make to run the car PERFETLY aswell. Believe me 2 them then started making wrong comments about SANTRO at the same time just like it is underpowered or rubbish. But when i got the driving seat, they then realized that their comments were totally wrong.
It really effects on the milage and performance aswell.
And YES do u use to wash the engine of the car properly ???
A trouble free engine. I never faced any problem up to date which is EXCELLENT. Just went for tunings and thats it. In terms of PERFORMANCE when comparing to the DIRECT RIVALS is also impressive.
I mostly run it on CNG so no personal expierence of MILAGE on PETROL. I m geeting this milage.
~145km in CITY DRIVING without AC.
~120km in CITY DRIVING with AC.
~175km on HIGHWAYS without AC.
I hav GV version of SANTRO which has the total capacity of 42wl.
Total refill costs me around Rs. 210
Will post more kool pics later.
I owned santro EXEC GV for 18months I never ever experienced
mileages of 145/175/120
these sort of mileages for karachi ????
mine were 92 with a/c and 120 with a/c max
I really didnt like the seating of santro it used to gave me backaches so I sold it for vitz. rear passengers also suffered alot for its tiny space . other than that I think its built was far superior than any 1000 cc locally built
engine was no doubt one of the best in its class so was the pick.
but at the end of the day I think comfort plays a huge roll all the other features/options they just look good for a few days and few months.
First i would like to mention here that VITZ is some thing else. It actually has its own category and doesn't belong to this exact category when u r cosidering FEATURES.
If u r mentioning here the COMFORT then
is far more superior then of locally available
So u don't need to BLAIM a 1.0L car.
Earlier i was getting this type of MILAGE like u mentioned, when i used to push it real hard. Now i m doing sensible driving after watching some horrible road accidents. It atleast results some DECENT milage figures for me. Also it really depends on the SETTING of CNG KIT aswell when cosidering the MILAGE.
U also mentioned about backaches . It really is a matter of TASTE. Some people feel this PROBLEM but some PEOPLE prefer its SITTING ARRANGEMENT. If u r getting backaches, it doesn't mean it is TRUE with every one.
I personally like its sitting when cosidering FRONT SEATS over all of its direct RIVALS because of its
DECENT TALL HEIGHT
I think its built is far superior than any 1000 cc locally built
engine is no doubt one of the best in its class
so is the
U r absolutely TRUE.
And YES u r also RIGHT if there are decent height of PASSENGERS then they suffer only else it is good for under 6 feet.
It is small car thats why its has this limitation.
