well i am not an acceleration junkie. but the fact is you are never in the power band while driving santro.
I know that the EFI has absolute advantage over carburetter. and carburretor is really outdated stuff. but its not working here in this car. its working tiptop in honda City and other cars.
anyway the milage is 11-13KMPL.(depends upon driving)
but according to the performance and the fact its EFI it should be 14-15 KMPL.
i dont mind if it uses 10kmpl but it should perform so that you feel it worth.

I always prefer it over the RIVALS which u hav in mind.
In winter season the engine of SANTRO starts easily when their ENGINE REFUSE to START.
In summer season the AC of SANTRO makes the cooling when their AC REFUSE to make the cooling.
I think the problem actually lies here in ur case.
DRIVING STYLE of SANTRO
is a little bit different from the DRIVING STYLE of any CARBORATOR engine car. I mean the TIMING of the CLUTCH really does matter here.
I should give u my personal example.
When i was learning how to drive, I never made it in SANTRO and other car because of different timings of the CLUTCH.
What i observed for a new driver it is to some extend HARD to do driving in SANTRO.
But when u use to it u really love it then.
Also when i gave SANTRO for TEST DRIVE to my 5 friends who r expert drivers but not with EFi.
At first attempt
they all SHUT the ENGINE
exactly like a new driver. :O
And after wards they didn't make to run the car PERFETLY aswell. Believe me 2 them then started making wrong comments about SANTRO at the same time just like it is underpowered or rubbish. But when i got the driving seat, they then realized that their comments were totally wrong.
It really effects on the milage and performance aswell.
And YES do u use to wash the engine of the car properly ???
A trouble free engine. I never faced any problem up to date which is EXCELLENT. Just went for tunings and thats it. In terms of PERFORMANCE when comparing to the DIRECT RIVALS is also impressive.
I mostly run it on CNG so no personal expierence of MILAGE on PETROL. I m geeting this milage.
~145km in CITY DRIVING without AC.
~120km in CITY DRIVING with AC.
~175km on HIGHWAYS without AC.
I hav GV version of SANTRO which has the total capacity of 42wl.
Total refill costs me around Rs. 210

mine were 92 with a/c and 120 with a/c max
I really didnt like the seating of santro it used to gave me backaches so I sold it for vitz. rear passengers also suffered alot for its tiny space . other than that I think its built was far superior than any 1000 cc locally built
engine was no doubt one of the best in its class so was the pick.
but at the end of the day I think comfort plays a huge roll all the other features/options they just look good for a few days and few months.
First i would like to mention here that VITZ is some thing else. It actually has its own category and doesn't belong to this exact category when u r cosidering FEATURES.
If u r mentioning here the COMFORT then
is far more superior then of locally available
So u don't need to BLAIM a 1.0L car.
Earlier i was getting this type of MILAGE like u mentioned, when i used to push it real hard. Now i m doing sensible driving after watching some horrible road accidents. It atleast results some DECENT milage figures for me. Also it really depends on the SETTING of CNG KIT aswell when cosidering the MILAGE.
U also mentioned about backaches . It really is a matter of TASTE. Some people feel this PROBLEM but some PEOPLE prefer its SITTING ARRANGEMENT. If u r getting backaches, it doesn't mean it is TRUE with every one.
I personally like its sitting when cosidering FRONT SEATS over all of its direct RIVALS because of its
DECENT TALL HEIGHT
I think its built is far superior than any 1000 cc locally built

And YES u r also RIGHT if there are decent height of PASSENGERS then they suffer only else it is good for under 6 feet.
It is small car thats why its has this limitation.
