Honda civic 2013 : Pakistan launch

Good news for all Honda Civic fans in Pakistan that Honda has now confirmed its availability of the New Civic between October and November this Year (2012). The production of current model has been stopped ( CONFIRMED NEWS ). Honda Atlas is now in the process of clearing stock.There is no exact word on its price, but it is estimated that it will fall between 21 lac and 23 lac depending on the model.

INSHALLAH CIVIC IS ABOUT TO BE LAUNCHED IN MOST LIKELY SEPTEMBER....maybe its booking starts prior to the official launch but thts unconfirmed....

i think so tht second or third hand car is always like pain in the ***. always give unexpectable problems.

Thanks for your suggestions. We keep looking into possibilities. Most of the time we decide against owing to the small size of civic segment . Without volumes the price goes too high to be attractive.

We already offer many options like NAV or leather or both etc on civic. As for accessories we have introduced those in the past only to get beaten by low cost Chinese copies.

We take your suggestions and will study all feasible possibilities.

The new Civic hopefully will be introduced in last quarter of the year. Its too early to price due to very fluid exchange rates. Prices will be finalised close to launch.

So new Mehran is better than old Corolla? That is not logical. You need to pick the best car for the money and not just new. Pakistani build new is something different than Japan assemble used.

In USA they released the 2013 Accord, for the price of $22,000 which is about 20 lakh rupees. And in PAKISTAN they are talking about new 2013 CIVIC for the price of 22 Lakh Rs. But Pakistanis are happy to pay 22 Lakh for 2013 Civic, just look the replies in this topic. No one is complaining about the price and think its a good price. And 2013 ACCORD if launched in Pakistan would be No Less than 40 Lakh Rupees. They always CHARGE Double in Pakistan for any new car, and Pakistanis don't care, they happily give it to the Auto Mafia, and brag about it. Pakistanis have no Idea about Real Car Prices around the world, and they give CASH for the new car. In America and most other countries more than 70% car are sold on Lease and affordable monthly payments, so millions of cars are sold that way and alot of people get employed that way.

The first part of your post is related to the duty structure to quite an extent. By the way, Accord at the moment is already priced at Rs. 7,000,000.

The second, I have NO idea how much extra people abroad pay on lease but here, on a car of Rs. 850000, surcharge was around Rs. 150000 like in 2006 but is since 2009 it has jumped to approximately Rs.400000, quite a difference. Plus, it's per capita income and on top of it, the concept of interest which Islam has prohibited in the strongest of terms.

Honda Civic in USA = 25k to 27kUSD, that is more or less same as in Pakistan (Quality will be obviously different though)

In Pakistan it's Honda, Suzuki and Toyota that rule. The majority will buy them no matter what. Otherwise Hyundia, Kia, Mitsubishi and Nissan had lots to offer in better price.

In your market the price would be around 10.5-13 lac as PKR 2 = almost 1 INR
