sorry if im a party pooper but this cultus being the successer of khyber is no match for khyber i own both but my old khyber with every thing stock goes extremely fast and this machine looks like a tail grabber at that point
it is much more comfortable, but what i need is power on short gears which is with khyber

We bought cultus back in 2000 when it was barely new, never converted to CNG and has remained with us all these years. I have learnt on my cultus and in the very beginning the car was able to do 155km/h with 2 passengers and the 3rd being me as the driver on khy-e-ittehad (back when it had no speed breakers). The car has absolutely given me a lot of pride, it has allowed me to literally humiliate 2.0d's both indus and later variants, city varios, and has I admit beaten a few vitz's and has remained tail to tail to the newer vitz's not letting it give it lead.
This car has obviously lost from 1.3 corolla's and civics and manual city's(head to head) but it has always given me pride because the first gear on this car actually pawns anything in the under 1600 category I just have enough pleasure in that! so much racing so many drags so many victories that after 9 years of spending time with it there is nothing i look forward to but the fact that its lovely engine has always brought a smile to my face, its certainly an underdog! Current status is as follows the engine has developed a fault, radiator's been bursting seems like the head is damaged too many gaskets replaced in a month...looking forward to receiving new cultus vxr again without cng in a day or 2 ![]() fingers crossed for the new one...price is a fancy 755 + 23ish for reg + 30ish for insurance I hope the 4 cyl g10b offers the same pride i experienced with the G10.... |

@deltree
I'm sure you're gonna love it since i too have a vxri (without cng). Car is literally a beast, only problems are manufacturing defects from the factory (lets see what kinds your has) along with overall reduction in quality...keep us updated

Car will arrive today but due to some paper issues wont be able to take it on road will just be bringing it at home...i can imagine the decline in quality over the long 9 years since i expect much of the stuff to have become localized.
I do hope that the car shows its true colors initially so at least we can get the car covered in warranty....rest i guess insurance will take care of it? getting the efu insurance that the suzuki dealership offers, something like a alliance between efu and suzuki...do you guys think thats good? |

car has arrived just driven it a bit... haven't been revving up more then 3k so cant say much...have been driving the 9 yr old cultus at 20%-30% throttle for the past few days and same with this new one guess what with all the hp loss that mustve been accrued with all the years of wear and tear and loss of compression somehow i cant feel a difference in power except for a possible shorter gear ratio and more responsiveness in the 4th gear in the new model!
things iv noted: the trunk hatch closes easier then the older one steering is higher then the older one and this sucks the lock on the front glove box is gone the lock on the fuel lid is replaced by a in-cockpit switch like it should be the ecu is not on the inside, if its on the outside then i can already forget taking this car out in the rain next year, to much electrical stuff on the outside and its not funny! |
