Default 7 Seater Family Car Needed - Suggestions please

Asalaam-o-alaikum

I am planning to relocate to Lahore from Manchester UK. Mashallah I have a young family of 3 kids and need to purchase a jeep / family car that will seat 5 + driver comfortably.

I am looking for something that is very practical and spacious. Ideally I would like a Toyota Previa (Luciada) or a Chrysler Voyager, but I don't think these are popular in Pakistan and are too expensive for me. I have a budget of approx. 15 lacs.

Another point is that should I buy brand new or 1 or 2 years old? i.e how much will the price of a new vehicle depreciate over 1 year in Pakistan?

Thanks for reading and any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Wasalaam

Hi

Just wanted to clear up something that my relatives were telling me. I was told that the Prado was now being assembled in Pakistan and the price was about 21 lac for new. That's not true right?

And this is directed to Marks, if 2003 model is in my budget then what would be the mileage and the level of equipment in the car. I am looking at the 7 seater with the 2 pilot seats in the middle row.

Thanks.

Atif

@Marks

What about colour and body kit (noting too fancy!). I was interested in maybe silver or white. What mileage will it have on the clock?

Inshallah I will be arriving on the week beginning 10 Sept so I can arrange to meet you then.

Thanks
Atif.

before u buy anything check out the parts availability. search the market as a customer looking for windshield, bumper, lights, etc. i am sure some parts are not available at any price and also insurance is higher on these used cars. if u want to get a used van go for hiace as parts will b easier to get.

Sincere advise.. Pls dont plan to settle in Lahore... or any other city in Pakistan... If u dont have any legal problems staying in UK... then give up the idea of coming back... for vacation... no problem... and that too not in summer with 10 hours of loadshedding...

hmmm well budget seems ok and as most of you have said Suzuki APV would be a great choice (Y) I agree with them because First of all its Suzuki, very well known and easy to maintain, durable and most importantly value for money
