i have heard that toyota corolla SE SALOON,XLI N GLI have brake problem where as 2d brakes r al rite..
if some one of u have use corolla petrol plz tell me..is their brakes alrite??

I had same probs wid my SE now i ve changed tyres n noe itts workin fine. so plz go for bridgestone n feel the difference.

Its not the brakes but the General tires the problem. Get good tires and it will be ok.

Yes I agree.The problem is with tyres. I use yokohama 195/65/15 & u can stop the car within inches.

hi there guys i hv SE Saloon and i got General tyres with toyota rims and lot of people told me to change both the things because 4-wheel disc brakes r excellent but tyres r pakistani thats y ........u can c now SE Saloon is not coming with rims ,i hv listened that sum one sued the company for this problem and won the case.My advise is to change the rims and replace tyres with at least 205 tyres,then u`ll c the brakes of the car.

I DONT REALLY THINK TYRES MAKE TTTTTHHHHHAAAAATTTTTT MUCH OF DIFFERNCE. BY BROTHER IN LAW HAS A S.E.SALOON AND TWICE THE CAR SKID BY ME, ONCE BANGING INTO A CYCLIST, A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM INDEED. THE CAR HAS RIMS AND YOKOHAMA TYRES INSTALLED ON IT SINCE YOKOHAMA AND DUNLOP ARE THE ONLY TWO JAPANESE PRODUCTS IN THE TYRE MARKET IN PAKISTAN, ESP ISLAMABAD/PINDI NOW. ITS TRUE THAT THE GRIP OF GENERAL TYRES IS SUCKS BUT THE MAIN PROB IS WITH THE COROLLA BRAKES, BELIEVE ME.

not all pakistani assembled cars have brakes problems..only corolla and new shape city has.where as civic brakes r PERFECT..

Hi no brake problems with Toyota Corolla, but the problem is with General Tyres which are hard. Baleno also skids with these tyres, so go for softer tyres, Dunlop or Yokohama. My XLi has Yokohama ASPEC A300 and the ride has gone as smooth as silk, plus no braking blues. cheers
