corolla's brakes

yaar i love corolla but wat is wrong with its brakes. Is this toyota cant they fix the problem since march 2002. And as the people say of the tyres,in every model of corolla general tyres were gr8 and in this go for yokohama.In brakes i heard and saw civic better but now wat now wat im hearing is that of its suspension and some other things. every company do this in pakistan y. faulty lancer also is the problem.wat to do yaar they take 12laks for more than 1 year for wat.thnx

The New Corolla has more ground clearance than the older model plus the new corolla has a "harsh package" for the suspension. The stifness of the suspension and the fact that the brakes are for use with ABS coupled with the inappropriate road surfaces in Pakistan makes them inadequate.

Yes it is the result of a little stiff not harsh suspensions.therefore tyre require should be soft to bear the stiffness and could establish the road grip.so change ur rims and go for Yokohama tyres for better results.well trueno20v these stiff suspensions provide u more comfortable drive than lossy civics suspensions everywhere either on m2 or on a cracked road

there is prob in my 2002 corolla brake booster can any one inform me about good mechanic who can set its booster .

Comfort is a subjective issue. Depends on how you look at. Vehicles in Pakistan usually have more ground clearance thanks to a raised suspension setup. Now the higher the vehicle, the higher is its centre of gravity adding more body roll, pitch and yaw to the chassis. Stiffening the raised suspension helps but to an extent. And furthermore, adding Bigger tyres helps, but the improvemnet is negligable as you're making other compromises by doing that which resultingly affects your fuel economy and rate or wear and tear on the engine itself.
