Toyota Fortuner Overview

The 1st Generation Toyota Fortuner was introduced in 2005. The Toyota Fortuner is a mid-sized SUV that was meant to slot below the higher end Toyota Land Cruiser and the Toyota RAV4. The 1st Generation Toyota Fortuner is offered in 2 variants Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo.

The exterior of the 2005 Toyota Fortuner features a very similar design language to that seen on Toyotas other range of SUVs. The front features angular sideswept rectangular styled headlights with a large front grille that has three chrome horizontal bars running its length and a large chrome accent trim piece. The front bumper houses a small rectangular shaped air intake that is flanked by standard circular fog lights. The rear end features sideswept trapezium styled taillights with circular inserts, a chrome trim piece with the Fortuner logo embossed on it placed above the number plate position and a large rear bumper. The overall exterior of the 2005 Toyota Fortuner is very similar to other Toyota SUV’s, the styling is slightly restrained and the lines of the Fortuner are proportioned.

The interior of 2005 Toyota Fortuner features a 7-seater layout arranged among 3 rows. The cabin compromises of plastic molded trim pieces in a light grey and beige tone. The 3 rows of seats are covered in beige fabric as standard. Standard features on the car include power windows, cup holders, air conditioning, a 7-inch multi information display with satellite navigation and a reversing, wooden paneling, a 4-speaker stereo system with 2 tweeters iPhone/iPod, CD, AUX and USB input and keyless entry. Options on the car includes electric mirrors, leather upholstery, cruise control and a sunroof. The overall interior of the 1st Generation Toyota Fortuner is very practical, luxurious and tough.
