About Nissan

Gandhara Nissan Limited (GNL) has been operating in Pakistan since 1981. The company is famous for its trucks lineup in the country. GNL has acquired a Brownfield status under the Auto Development Policy 2016-21. Its assembly plant is situated at Bin Qasim, Karachi where the company assembles the CBU units of two Chinese truck brands, JAC and Dongfeng, and one British brand, Renault. GNL also imports and sells cars of the original Nissan Motors from Japan. The company also has plans of introducing SUVs in Pakistani market in association with a Chinese auto manufacturer, Chery Automobile Co,. Ltd.

History of Gandhara Nissan

GNL started as a private company in 1981 as a subsidiary of Bibojee Services (Private) Limited. Later, in 1992, it converted into a public limited company. Gandhara Nissan used to manufacture and sell cars in the local auto market. Nissan Sunny, Nissan Patrol, and Nissan Safari were some of the most popular cars in Pakistan. Now, the main business of Nissan Pakistan is to assemble and sell international trucks,import and sell Nissan cars, and other vehicles under contract agreements.
