Suzuki, All Purpose Vehicle (APV) is a mini MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) which was launched by Suzuki in the year 2004. However, Pak Suzuki was a year late to launch this vehicle for the Pakistani people. Suzuki APV is also known as Mitsubishi Maven and Suzuki APV Arena in other parts of the globe. The reason why APV is also known as APV Arena is that in 2007, Suzuki improved the quality of APV which is now also known as APV Arena.
Suzuki APV is very famous amongst the business community of Pakistan as they can use it for transferring their goods and also they can use it for family purpose.
The five-door multi-purpose vehicle has two engine offerings, 1.5L and 1.6L However in Pakistan the All-purpose vehicle just offers 1.5L engine with manual transmission. It is seen that the imported models also have an automatic version available.
Used Suzuki APV price in Pakistan varies between Rs. 11.5 Lacs to 21 Lacs. However, Suzuki APV 2014 and Suzuki APV 2015 are going to cost you around Rs. 23 Lacs.
Current variants available:
Suzuki APV GLX
Suzuki APV GLX (CNG)
The main competitors of Suzuki APV are found to be Toyota Corolla Axio Fielder, Toyota Probox, Toyota Avanza, Faw S80, Mitsubishi EK and Airwave Honda. All these vehicles have none the less same features; however imported cars are slightly better. Toyota Avanza and FAW S80 give tough competition to the mini multi-purpose vehicle as they have competitive pricing strategies implemented. However, people prefer purchasing an imported multi-purpose vehicle rather than a used Suzuki APV.
The resale value of Suzuki APV is satisfactory; there are not many cases heard where the owners are happy at the time of deal as it doesn't give the desired amount the owner demands. There are many reasons for the poor resale value of a second hand Suzuki APV. A person who seeks for purchasing an APV has plenty of other options on the same price list. There is a huge variety of vehicles present in the market at much better prices compared to what APV has attached itself too. It is believed that if prices are lowered, people will be attracted in purchasing the vehicle, but as per now; customers have way better-imported vehicles to choose from rather than just buying a locally manufactured vehicle which lacks basic features such as ABS and airbags.
There is just one model of Suzuki APV offering by Pak Suzuki so Suzuki APV GLX receives all the popularity. However, due to petrol prices hiking up, people tend to purchase CNG version as it costs cheaper compared to running a vehicle solely on gasoline.
