12th Cholistan Desert Rally Kicks Off Amidst Extravagant Fanfare
The 12th TDCP Cholistan Desert Rally arranged by Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab began amidst much fanfare yesterday (February 9th, 2017.)
Each year Pakistan’s most premiere racing event keeps getting better, diverse and refined. With spectators coming from all over the country, this year’s event is pretty special as drivers from Iran, Kenya and Thailand are also participating in this event. The contestants will cover a total distance of 450 kilometers this year. Likewise, the total prize money in nine categories -reportedly- amounts to Rs. 3.8 million. To keep up with the tradition, the organizers have made special arrangements for entertainment, including a musical night and fireworks.
