[UPDATING] 2016 Honda Civic – Leaked Images Ahead of Launch in Pakistan!

About forty days back, Honda Atlas started pre-booking the 2016 Honda Civic, initially at a partial payment of PKR 1million, which was then increased to 50% of the tentative pricing without any statement regarding the equipment which would make its way to both the announced variants. Despite the confusion around the new Civic, according to multiple insiders, the pre-booking has proven immensely successful for Honda Atlas.

Now I am excited to report that, the 2016 Honda Civic, or if I must say, the most awaited car of Pakistan which went up for pre-bookings last month is finally nearing its official unveil. Honda Atlas have dispatched the display units of the to be unveiled Civic to dealers nationwide. And thanks to a fellow PakWheeler, who got hold of the first and so far the only up-close pictures of 2016 Honda Civic in Pakistan, we can now safely say that Civic 2016 should finally hit the showroom floors this month.

In addition to confirming that the unveil is around the corner, these photos give us the most detailed look of the PKDM 2016 Honda Civic which address almost every equipment related query we had regarding the new Civic.

The leaked images confirm the following exterior characteristics of Civic’s top of line 1.5 VTEC Turbo Variant:

Sunroof

16-inch Alloy Rims with wheel dimensions of (215/55 R16)

Piano Black Front Grille

Front/Rear Cameras

Projector Headlamps with strip style LED Daylight Running Lamp (DRL) and Fog Lights

Side Indicators which were previously rumoured to have been omitted by Honda Atlas makes an appearance

Sensors on the Chrome Door Handles confirm the Key-less Entry

Dual exhausts which were confirmed back in May by the exclusive photos of Civic’s test mule in Pakistan

And if you are not a fan of the extra stickers Honda Atlas places on the rear window of their cars, we have some bad news for you

While some of these exterior features were confirmed by leaked factory images on the social media, the interior remained under covers. Until now, as now we have a complete look of what will come standard on the 2016 PKDM Civic, the images confirm;

Rear A/C Vents

Full-Size Center Console which despite looking like the one on the USDM Civic has an old cut out, which I think has been done to make room for the “rumored rear entertainment display.”

 

Electronic Parking Brake

Steering Switches for Multimedia and Cruise Control along with the Push Start Button are present while Bluetooth Control Buttons and Leather Stitching on the steering wheel remain absent

Single Zone Climate Control

The speedometer confirmed to be digital which puts an end to the debate of whether or not we’ll get the Graphical Information Cluster in the Pakistani model

The leaked pictures confirm the following features of Civic 1.8-liter VTI Oriel

Chrome front grille, fog lights and daylight running lamps (DRLs)

16-inch Alloy Rims with wheel dimensions of (215/55 R16)

Stickers on the rear window confirm ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist)

As far as interior is concerned, the following equipment made its way;

1) Steering Switches for  audio control

2) Steering Switches for cruise control

3) Single zone climate control system on dashboard

4) Digital speedometer

5) Push start button (which can be seen in the video at the end of this post and on the teaser image released by Honda Atlas)

While the following has been left out;

1) Leather stitching on steering wheel

2) Bluetooth control on steering wheel

3) Dual zone climate control system on dashboard

4) Colored speedometer

5) Paddle shifters (which are present on the VTEC Turbo variant of the new PKDM Civic)
