Hybrid Powertrain Of MG ZS

The reports reveal that the MG ZS HEV will be sold as “MG ZS Hybrid+.” It will probably share its powertrain with the MG3 hatchback. MG3  combines a 1.5-liter petrol engine with an electric motor, 3-speed automatic transmission, and 1.83 kWh battery that doesn’t need to be plugged in to charge.

In addition, MG ZS consists of two petrol variants and one all-electric version.  One variant has a 1.5 four-cylinder engine with 104.4 hp (horsepower), and the other has a 1 liter three cylinder turbo engine with 109.7 hp.

However,  the new generation will still include an electric version with a new addition of a hybrid option.

Availability of MG ZS HEV

The international market is selling this car under the name of MG ZS HEV instead of MG Astor. MG will launch the petrol version of this car in Australia during the fourth quarter of 2024 (October-December). The electric and hybrid variants will introduce in 2025.
